It is true, I’ve resisted cloud for a long time. I don’t like the idea of having the rug pulled out from under me which is a risk for any conservative political site especially in this coming era of the “Trump accountability project” and we’ve already dealt with our share of cancel culture practically since the inception of the site in the 90s. I think there are enough alternative cloud providers now that it’s time. The solution is to run on at least two providers, the first the active site, the others stealthy replications ready to go in a pinch.
The aim of this migration is to set up that infrastructure.
