OR, IL, and NM I heard are going back on full lockdowns.

Lockdowns are the lazy way out. Cowards.

They’re still pushing forced mask requirements here in TX. I’ve seen no one at a store in quite some time who wasn’t wearing a mask. It seems to be so easy to get everyone, including a lot of conservatives, to fall in line.

It seems the most mask nazi-ish states are some with the highest infections. But don’t expect them to learn anything from that fact.

Kill the economy so people demand more solutions from the government. Raise taxes to fund those solutions. Grow agencies charged with implementing those solutions. Advocate that government take over “essential” parts of the economy to assure equity. Explain how the crisis requires unity and radical changes to daily lives.

Hello Socialism.

Two weeks is utterly and totally meaningless.

Today we are at Day 243 of “15 Days to Stop the Spread.”

Good. Shut everything down OR, CA, and WA. Kill your economies. Oh, and good luck getting some federal Covid money.

I live in Spain and we are on a similar lockdown now. It hurts business owners a lot more than it does us. Supermarkets are open so we have plenty of food and I can buy 3 litres of beer for less money than a 33cl bottle at our local bar. Bargain for me, kiss of death for the bar owners. My wife usually meets up with friends every Friday at a cafe for coffee and a chat. Instead they are meeting at a house of one of the ladies.
The real kicker is that in our town of 27,000 full time residents we have had 1 Covid death since July. My next-door neighbor, who saw his 20 year business go bust, calls it soul destroying.

Thank you for referencing that article ChicagoConservative27. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"-- in an attempt to slow the rapid spread of coronavirus across the state."

Not only has PDJT repeatedly indicated that one reason for rise in COVID-19 cases is that more and more people are being tested for it every day, but also consider the following.

Problems with COVID-19 testing include false positives and tests that are too sensitive.

Here’s some articles about false positives.

Here are a couple of references for non-contagious cases of SARS-CoV-2

Artificial lighting urbanites might consider including vitamins D3 and C supplements in their diet to help fight COVID-19 and flu in my non-medical opinion, especially since sunlight hours are getting shorter.

Insights welcome.

And it is NEVER for “just” two weeks....

Stretches into months and months, with no discernible effect on the spread of COVID-19 Wuhan virus, which has thoroughly permeated the environment.

The disease is deadly to only a very small part of the total population, the rest have at worst a bad cold with nasal and lung congestion that lasts maybe ten days to two weeks. Protect that small really vulnerable part of the population, and let the rest of the people go about their business.

Turn and face the dragons. They are mostly phantoms that prey on vulnerabilities, not all of which are physical.

allow churches and faith groups to accommodate indoor crowds no larger than 25

This one is senseless unless one is a control freak. Why not go by a % of capacity, or people per sq. foot of floor area?

M-F’ers just announced that the Oregon unemployment tax that I pay on behalf of my employees is going up from 0.7% to 2.6%. Gotta pay for all those unemployment checks from the few of us left who have employees.

In the meantime I will be headed to my favorite bar in a small town in Texas for a couple of IPA’s after work.

Without a F**KING mask!
