Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, on Sunday warned President Donald Trump to be “careful” as he continues to challenge the results of the 2020 election and not to push America toward a “course in history which would be very, very unfortunate.”
“The people in the past, like myself, who lost elections have gone on in a way that said, ‘Look, I know the eyes of the world are on us. The eyes of our own people are on the institutions that we have. The eyes of history are on us,’” Romney said Sunday on “Meet the Press.”
“In a setting like this, we want to preserve something which is far more important than ourself or even our party — and that is preserve the cause of freedom and democracy here and around the world,” he said.

Romney’s judgement is and has been suspect. Past time for him to be ignored......to put it nicely.
Waiting for him to caucus with the Dems or outright flip if it would shift balance.
I’m a really competitive person by nature and spent a good part of my life competing, baseball, basketball, shooting sports, showing cutting horses, motocross, and driving race cars. One of my favorite quotes was from drag racer Connie Kalitta (also a true patriot) who was being interviewed after his son lost a final and was pissed.
He said, well, he’s not a really good loser, but I’ve never met a winner who was a good loser!
True! I hate to lose.

They don’t get it, keep trying to ignore Trump and Trump will go to the people. The people stand ready for our next move. If he says we move it to the streets then we will. If Trump says the political system is beyond repair, we know what to do. Best to stay on Trump’s good side because 10s of millions of us are listening to Trump and not the fake news corrupt media.

Romney is the one who needs to watch his rhetoric. He’s just about the lone republican wolf in currently congress actively and publicly rebuking the President. In the end Romney will be the loser.

I’m with you. We met Mitt and his wife while on vacation on St. Thomas. This was right after he lost against Kennedy. He was very approachable and so friendly. We had voted for him and were enthusiastic supporters when he ran for president. Boy, have we changed our opinion of him. The guy is a sore loser and incredibly jealous of Trump. I hope he gets primaried when he runs for reelection.
Mitt Romney has accomplished something that’s rare - he’s equally despised by both the Right and the Left, and rightfully so. It’s good to see that there are still a few things that all Americans can agree on.
Romney wants Trump to roll over and take it up the you know what like Romney did in 2012.
This designated loser has been paid handsomely to “warn” Trump.
