Problem lies with the fact that many of these cable companies also provide internet access to millions. If you're paying $150 for tv/internet today, you'll be paying $150 just for internet tomorrow.
Now Elon Musk may have something to say about that...but that's pretty far in the future, and HIS motives/ideology is still somewhat of a mystery, with sources of income for research/development being somewhat...subsidized.
I cut cable and now only have internet service.

It’s screwy. Conservatives thought Fox News was at best on their side, and at worst fair and balanced. So millions of conservatives paid leftist shills like CNN and MSNBC so that these conservatives wouldn’t have to work to find content which didn’t lie to the world on their behalf.
Now Fox has shown its true colors. You guys might have to stop paying CNN and MSNBC to work against you. Wake up.
