House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and freshmen members of the Democratic Party's left wing took fire from Rep. Abigail Spanberger during a Thursday conference call among House Democrats, with Spanberger blaming poor messaging on the party losing seats in the House of Representatives.
Spanberger, a former CIA officer who narrowly flipped a traditionally red Virginia district in 2018, once again eked out a victory on Tuesday but said it shouldn't have been that close, and her caucus lost races they shouldn't have.
"The number one concern that people brought to me in my race that I barely rewon was defunding the police," she said in audio obtained by the Washington Post. "And I've heard from colleagues who say, 'Oh it's the language of the streets, we should respect that.' We're in Congress. We are professionals. We are supposed to talk about things in the way where we mean what we are talking about. If we don't mean we should defund the police, we shouldn't say that."
"Defunding the police" has proved to be an extremely unpopular policy position, with polling showing that anywhere from just 24% to 28% of Americans support the slogan/movement.
Spanberger went on to blast socialism, stating, "we need to not ever use the the word socialist or socialism ever again" - a direct shot at Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib who are socialists.
"If we are classifying Tuesday as a success from a congressional standpoint, we will get f-ing torn apart in 2022," she said.

As for the election burning in the dumpster now, we should have had security in place long before the election instead of only complaining about Democrat corruption.
Even in our discussions on discussion boards or forums (now squishily known as “social media”), most people do nothing but complain. Too many are too lazy minded to post texts of bills and analyze them, or even to read them. Too many are lacking in civics education that children should learn. Too many are too busy gorging on historical revisionism that’s irrelevant to our causes and was only fabricated to inflate the vanity of foreign ethnic and religious groups.
Our one most important concern is that of our rights as stated in our Second Amendment, and should remember that. Without the rights to keep and bear arms, we’ll have no rights at all, including the right to life.

Dems in the 1990s and beyond always said after losses "We didn't get our policy message out to the people." Our side always knew: oh, yeah? People said no to higher taxes,government waste....They heard it properly.

People mailed in ballots. Don’t the actual ballots have to be counted? People voted in person. Were their votes put on a flash drive? Is there any legal reason for 14,616 votes to be on a flash drive?
