Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Wednesday called on election officials in all 50 states to ensure that ballots used during the 2020 presidential election are able to be audited.
should have been working on that the past four years. just sayin.
She forgot the other part of the threat: “Or lose all federal funding for the next four years”. That’s the only way to get the states’ attentions.
To anyone wondering about ballots watermarking. Yes, it is a thing. I refer you to an agency with the acronym CISA and a July 28, 2020 document entitled “Main-In Viting in 2020 Infrastructure Risk Assessment”.
Voting systems and states can and do use watermarking to ID official ballots, per the CISA.
I wonder what elements of the ballots are audited? Without knowing the criteria, we can't evaluate the magnitude of this action. Does anyone know?
This was two years ago.
Many possibilities abound.
unleash the dogs of war
Yes. Before certification all ballots must be verified.
She is no longer Secretary. This article is from 2018.

Mt view of the dim plan.
1) Steal the election
2) Taint President Trumps second term as illegitimate
Good luck with all that.
Mail-In Voting....
HMMMMMMM mentions watermarks
Per the CISA, some states and voting systems watermark ballots. Why that isn’t the standard, I don’t know. But watermarks, if used in any states with mail-in ballots issues, could make IDing voter fraud a lot easier.
I wonder if there is a technological method to detect if a ballot was a product of ballot stuffing? Watermarks? Pens markings tracked in multiple ballots? Fingerprints?
OOps tee do..Pa Sec of State in a heap of trouble..wait til they see her letter to the county officials thrughout the state to get all personal info on voters whose ballots had been ‘rejected’ so they could get a new ballot to them to vote again....thus voting twice. Against the law.
Secretary of Homeland Security is Chad Wolf
...whoopsie alright!
Did this get implemented??
So did they do it?
Interesting tidbit...
And here are the ways this is supposed to be done:
