Yes, if you look at the reality of socialism and communism, people end up “equal” and they are living at a subsistence level.
But don’t forget how Bernie Sanders praised all the literacy programs in Cuba. So the Cuban people are very poor but at least they can read. That’s how these radicals look at things.

The only way to "end up at the same place" is if some people are oppressed by the government while others are promoted/supported. That's socialism - take from the high performers (via fascist controls and force) and give to the low performers.

The left has been tapering in the word “equitable” for a while now. It kinda looks like “equal” so it seems innocuous enough at first blush. But it really means the opposite of equal. That is, it means *unequal* treatment under the law in order to achieve equal outcomes. And so it is a typical leftist inversion of our nation’s founding ideas.
They live at sustenance levels, that is the ones who did not starve to death. Mass starvation is a preferred population control method of socialism.
Exactly. Venezuela - a country with more proven oil reserves than any other country in the world - yes, even more than Saudi Arabia. Yet they were recently caught illegally importing oil from Iran. Their economy is in shambles, their people live in misery. Why is that you think? Could it be ... SOCIALISM!?
This is what socialism does for a country. A place that should be right up there with the success, even decadence of the middle east oil countries...lives in squalor instead.
