Former Vice President Joe Biden doubled down on his calls to ban “assault weapons” and “high capacity” magazines and to institute other gun controls on the final Sunday of his 2020 presidential campaign.
Biden’s campaign wrote on his officialvTwitter account: “As president, I’ll ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, implement universal background checks, and enact other common-sense reforms to end our gun violence epidemic.”
Breitbart News reported that Biden’s proposals not only contain a ban on the future manufacture of AR-15s and other firearms the Democrats label “assault weapons” but also a provision that could require every AR-15 rifle to be registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA). Unless there was some form of carve-out, this could mandate that American gun owners pay a $200 federal tax for each AR-15 that they own.
Other gun proposals being pushed by Biden include:
- A provision that could ban online sales of ammunition, guns, and gun parts.
-A pledge to revive the Social Security gun ban, which targeted benefit recipients who needed help managing their finances. The ban was adopted during the last full month of the Obama presidency and repealed during the first full month of the Trump presidency.
- A provision that would limit Americans a one-gun-a-month purchase maximum. The Biden campaign website says, “Biden supports legislation restricting the number of firearms an individual may purchase per month to one.”
- A push to incentivize states to license would-be gun owners. Biden’s campaign website says, “Biden will enact legislation to give states and local governments grants to require individuals to obtain a license prior to purchasing a gun.”

I have talked to enough idiot gun owners who always say “They’ll never do that”, then when they voted for Clinton (Bill or Hillary) and Obama (form some other political position that was important to them) and saw what they tried to pass, they would say “I never thought I’d see the day ....”.
There are plenty of stupid gun owning voters out there.

That’s because, at their core, Dems are no different than any other group of Collectivists (which includes groups all over the false “Left-Right” political spectrum such as Communists, Socialists, so-called “Progressives,” Nazis, racists, etc.) - their ONLY motivation is to control other people. IOW, it’s the old stand-by, slavery, repackaged as a nice-sounding (to uninformed idiots) ideology that promises everything to people so long as they willingly submit. Once enough idiots submit, then those who lead such groups have the power to compel most or all of the rest in that society. BTW, Individualism, upon which this country was founded (and those who support it), opposes ALL forms of Collectivism - and is utterly reviled by all of those ideologies because it (and they) stand in the way of the Collectivist dream of ultimate power. This is the principle reason why Trump and his supporters are so intensely despised - because we - acting through him as our leader and surrogate, have told them to shove their ideas and policies just when they could taste the ultimate victory toward which they had been working for their entire lives (and much longer, if you count their ideological forebearers).
Someone once told me that there was, is and always will be universal agreement on the issue of slavery - everyone is in favor of it; the only disagreement is over who shall be the slave and who the master. If you take a cold, hard and informed look at politics everywhere, you (sadly) cannot seriously disagree.

Like all federal agencies and departments, if you were to cut the FBI in half they would still be able to accomplish their actual needed tasks. Government et al. has grown to large.
Every politician wants to create more government, and Republicans are just as guilty! They simply create crap like the TSA, Department of Homeland Security, and fund a pointless and endless war on drugs and other idiotic nonsense. While libs and Democrats want to grow government in the name of social justice, welfare, for the children, environment and their causes, the so called conservatives want to grow government in the name of public safety, national security, and their causes.
BOTH are equally guilty of the massive government and tax burden Americans face today. Roughly 43% of GDP is in some shape or form government at either city, county, state or federal level.
Exactly why we need more President Trump and a hell of a lot less Career Politicians.
