The 40 amplification cycles recommended by the CDC and used in the majority of U.S labs looks like it will generate a lot more bogus positive test results than even the New York Times .. claimed that around 90% of samples taken from a set of positive tests that used 40 cycles were - really negative - because, when they were run through only 30 cycles, no viral remains were detected.

It isn’t the number of cases that determines the seriousness of the pandemic but the rate per million of hospitalizations and of deaths. Those are the figures to be watching and the figures they never publish.

Means nothing. Absolutely nothing. Death count is the only meaningful measure and they can’t even get that right. 6% of the so-called 200,000 “deaths” is the real number per the CDC? Hoax.
Yep. It is a virus. It is contagious. It has a lot of potential hosts. Why are they all flummoxed? I bet these people are shocked that kids in daycare catch a lot of colds.
I’m at home with the covid right now. For me it was a mild flu for two days, then a week of boredom. It also came from my wife, who’s a nurse and covered with PPE.
Basically, you either have some immunity, or you’ll get it eventually.
The SD COVID19 site locks up my machine. But using the COVID19 data for Iowa (which has good disclosure), 45% of the 145k cases are from people 18-40 years old. Of this cluster, only 11% have a confirmed pre-existing condition. Perhaps not surprisingly, this 'young' group accounts for only ONE PERCENT of the 1,706 fatalities in Iowa attributed to COVID as of today (and 28% of those fatalities have a pre-existing condition).
By contrast, those from 61-80 and 80+ make up 14% and 5% of cases, respectively, but 43% and 33% have a pre-existing condition, respectively. And, surprise surprise....they make up 40% and 50% of all of Iowa's COVID fatalities, of which 65% and 66% had a pre-existing condition, respectively.
In other words, if the SD 'surge' reflects this Iowa total case data, the young ones are where the case surge is occurring, but they're not taxing the system nor are they dying. The elderly with comorbidities are the ones dying, and where protections should be focused...in an early frost, you don't protect your car - you protect the plants.
I’d say if over 9 million tested positive in this country and 99.7 recover, that’s darn good.
This is great news....indicating they’re nearly 1/2 way to herd immunity, which is likely more than other regions..... because of no masking during the summer.
Learn from this.
Polls indicate voters are moving away from Biden and Ds because of lockdowns. It will not end well for them. Of course, they had nothing else on which to hang a hat and win an election.
Given the communicability of this virus, it will only be a year or two before everyone has been infected.

It’s the death rate, that they very subtly changed form reporting that’s the real issue.
But cases is much more alarming with it’s implication that we’re all going to DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
