The event scheduled for Tuesday night at his Trump International Hotel was billed as THE Trump campaign's celebration of winning 4 more years in the White House, and POTUS would be in attendance. An email invite to the bash screamed, "It will be absolutely EPIC, and the only thing that could make it better is having YOU there." Very Trump-esque.
However, the Prez is now opting to watch the poll results pour in from the White House ... according to the New York Times.

I think it is the riot thingy, but you can bet the Left will make the comparison and claim it is the ONLY reason.
Unfortunately, Rasmussen just came out with Biden up 49-46. Second consecutive gain for Biden, very disappointing after GDP numbers.
If Republicans take back the House, the FIRST order of business should be retroceding the population areas of DC back to Maryland and consolidating the federal district. That eliminates the "government" of DC and ends the clamor to create a state from a minor city.
Personally I have no doubt it’s a safety concern.
This says nothing. I wouldn’t worry about this. If there are riots in DC, its harder to secure the hotel and surrounding area than the Whitehouse. GWB was at the White House in 2004. Again, This says nothing but security. That being said, when I first read this, I though the party was going to be in Florida, but that’s not the case. It makes no sense to have it at the hotel in DC. The streets could be crazy.
I have 3 thoughts:
1-Reminds of Hillary cancelling her fireworks as she knew she might lose, but the Clinton Clan was pretty giddy early that evening. Scary
2-This isn’t going to be decided on Election night. It was late in 2016 and we could be looking Bush vs Gore on steroids.
3-Riots - He needs to be in the War Room.

Moved to DC where federal LE and actual troops can protect. At Mara Lago, not so much.
