The event scheduled for Tuesday night at his Trump International Hotel was billed as THE Trump campaign's celebration of winning 4 more years in the White House, and POTUS would be in attendance. An email invite to the bash screamed, "It will be absolutely EPIC, and the only thing that could make it better is having YOU there." Very Trump-esque.
However, the Prez is now opting to watch the poll results pour in from the White House ... according to the New York Times.

Trump won’t have a lot to do with the rioting. The situation will be just as it’s been. The governors of the states will try to keep it inside law enforcement, and not insurrection, and they will fan it by not requesting the national guard to try to dirty Trump again. All this while votes are still being “counted?” If Trump is out counted, they will be the heroes because bad ol’ Trump was the cause of the problem. Win/win. (Notice I didn’t say out voted)
Funny thing is, since Joe will not give up, and the decision on who won will be decided by counted votes and not all of those registered or more than the amount registered, it will be weeks, at best, until the determination can be made and the lawsuits finalized. I think they ought to encompass another party time to do it, like new year’s eve 2021.

Trump needs to pivot a bit on the Hunter thing. It’s about Biden’s corruption. Trump is allowing it to be only about Hunter and it looks a bit like “trump is going after poor Joe’s son”.
Incorrect, Joe profited from whatever Hunter did and we all should know about it. Hunter was Joe’s bag man and Joe collected proceeds from whatever deals Hunter was cooking up.
You would have a point if Hunter was apolitical but happens to be a crack head with a serious drug problem working a construction job in Deleware, then yes, I would say hands off. But Hunter is the bag man for Biden corruption and exposing Hunter, exposes Joe.

Trump should still focus on Hunter and Joe’s corruption.
Praying for a landslide. A landslide is the only way to prevent civil unrest. If the left sees a landslide they are less likely to act out.
They will still act out cause all of this planning and all their riot gear has already been purchased. But the difference is they can’t claim the majority is behind them.

That’s what I meant. Whether it’s close or not, this thing wont be decided right away. The only way the media would be declaring the election over is if Biden runs away with it, and it’s Trump’s side that is bringing most of the lawsuits, which I am not sure they would even do if it’s Biden in a landslide.
All the other scenarios would probably have lawsuits on both sides, along with escalating appeals rulings, and the media saying it’s not over (til Biden wins)

The White House not so much. He's got access to the Secret Service and federal troops and law enforcement and the Situation Room to quell the rioters from the confines of the WH.
I'm sure he's made a calculated decision to treat these radical anarchists as enemy troops that need to be dealt with before any partying goes on. He is on top of his game and has the momentum in his favor. He knows he's going to win.
Trump is not the type of guy who has overt doubts so I think this is a strategic decision to handle the rioters and not put any innocent people in harm's way.

POTUS just spoke to the press rope line, about various topics, and was asked about this cancellation.
He said it’s because of the DC Mayor having DC shut down....he said (paraphrasing), ‘rules and regulations....DC is shut down....we have a hotel, and, I guess you’re not allowed to use your hotel...because everything is shut down. Can you imagine? DC is shut down’.
I think we’ll know AZ, FL, OH, IA, NC, and MI for sure by then. That’s it.

Trump has far more important things to be doing than celebrating a victory over Biden.
First, beating Biden is not a big accomplishment - its more of a foregone conclusion at this point.
Second, Trump is going to be coordinating the response to the planned violent protests that the Dems are coordinating. He knows that he is going to have to be working hard starting on election night to quell the uprisings.
