Glenn Greenwald tells Tucker Carlson "the left is in bed with a CIA set on destroying Trump"
Daily Mail ^ | Oct 30 | By LAUREN FRUEN and MEGAN SHEETS

Glenn Greenwald on Thursday told Tucker Carlson the left supports a CIA set on destroying Donald Trump after earlier resigning from a website he co-founded, claiming editors 'censored' an article he wrote criticizing Joe Biden.

The journalist, part of a team that won a Pulitzer for reports about government surveillance programs based on leaks by Edward Snowden, told the Fox News host that the left's 'healthy skepticism of the CIA' has 'all disappeared'.

Greenwald, who announced his resignation from the The Intercept Thursday, added: 'The reason it's disappeared is because the CIA from the very first days of the Trump administration, even before he was inaugurated, devoted themselves to sabotaging the inauguration because Donald Trump questioned a few of their pieties and that can't be done in Washington.

'So the CIA and the deep state operative became heroes of the liberal left, the people who support the democratic party. They are now in a full union with the neocons and the Bush Cheney operatives, the CIA, Silicon valley and Wall Street.

'That is the union of power, along with along with mainstream media outlets, that are fully behind the democratic party which is likely to at least take over one branch of government, if not all of them, in the coming election and that's a very alarming proposition because they are authoritarian, they believe in censorship and suppression of information that exposes them in any kind of a critical light.'

Greenwald then suggested members of the CIA, DoJ, FBI and NSA now 'tell Americans what they ought to believe'. He added: 'They have infiltrated the means of communication domestically. If they do it through leaks, clandestine operations and through lies.'

The root, or foundation of the deep state is the 17th Amendment. The check and balance of the senate was removed.. the party bosses and lobbyists run the government now.. minus Trump and a few patriots

Yes a big liberal. You will shake your head if he talks about any other subject :) But he’s good on privacy and civil liberties and aligns with constitutional conservatives on that topic.

The U.S. Intelligence Community is composed of the following 17 organizations:

Two independent agencies—the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA);

Eight Department of Defense elements—the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the National Security Agency (NSA), the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency (NGA), the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and intelligence elements of the four DoD services; the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force.

Seven elements of other departments and agencies—the Department of Energy’s Office of Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence; the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis and U.S. Coast Guard Intelligence; the Department of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Office of National Security Intelligence; the Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research; and the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis.

Hmm, plenty to cut there (IMO)

Yeah, well, the problem is: the CIA has the goods on everyone. See “Boundless Informant”, XKeyscore, or PRISM.

So how exactly do you propose this elimination be done?

The only thing I don’t understand is this: If Biden got 32 (or 36, or whatever) CIA operatives in China killed, why would the CIA side with him? Unless they are all sympathetic to the CCP and hate Taiwan, and considered them “rogue”... it’s strange.

Intel has co-opted social media too. Did you see Zuckerbot's response about smothering the Hunter Biden Laptop story? The FBI "warned him" that some emails were going to drop that were "hacked" and so he said, "Oh, okay," and shut it down for them.

Of course, if they are "hacked" they must be real. If they were from the Russians, they wouldn't be hacked. But whatevers, you know?

They were CIA contacts - Chinese citizens - not Americans. And considered expendable if the bigger question of getting rid of the Existential Threat That Is Trump can be addressed by backing Biden.

He basically said, “Gimme what you got”. They did. They lost. They have no idea what is coming their way. Nobody does. That’s what they fear most.

Schumer was in on the whole thing soon after Trump was in office, when he threatened “let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you”.

I work in telecommunications. Splice points are more driven by government standards. Although telco companies say this is more efficient. But splice points provide access for intercept electronics directly onto a fiber or a tap on coax to monitor if needed. It’s all designed for the CIA types to know everything you do. Time to eliminate the CIA

It takes so much money to run for Senate in most states it is like a presidential election in other small or mid size countries. Which leaves senators wide open to the temptation to accept huge $$$ from lobbyists or under the table "gifts" from super PAC organizations. They shouldn't accept these but they do. And if they do, then they do not have integrity and are easily bribed further or blackmailed by their immoral behaviors. Yes the 17th amendment was one of several things that spelled the downfall of our government operating as it was intended.

The root, or foundation of the deep state is the 17th Amendment. The check and balance of the senate was removed.. the party bosses and lobbyists run the government now.. minus Trump and a few patriots

-- If Biden got 32 (or 36, or whatever) CIA operatives in China killed, why would the CIA side with him? --

CIA is a globalist institution. Its national allegiance is only on paper.

Constitutions, oaths, all that formality is worth spit. China's constitution gives freedom of the press. North Korea's constitution gives freedom of the press.

CIA's first allegiance is to itself. This is true of all bureaucracies.

Of course they will all swear to be patriotic. They will assert they took an oath to defend and protect the constitution, and how dare you question their patriotism.

It's fake.
