A surge in coronavirus cases has damaged Donald Trump’s re-election campaign in Wisconsin, with growing criticism of his work on the pandemic and preference for Joe Biden to handle it. Biden holds a slighter advantage in Michigan, with sizable leads among women, moderates and independents in ABC News/Washington Post polls in both states.
Biden leads Trump by 57-40 percent among likely voters in Wisconsin, a state that’s now reported to be third in the nation in per capita COVID-19 cases, with a 53 percent increase in average daily cases in the past two weeks, a record number of hospitalizations and a 112 percent jump in deaths. That compares with a closer 52-46 percent in mid-September.
In Michigan, it’s 51-44 percent, Biden-Trump, among likely voters, a slight Biden lead in this poll, produced for ABC by Langer Research Associates. The Senate race there stands at 52 percent for incumbent Democrat Gary Peters vs. 46 percent for Republican John James, not a statistically significant differenc
even if it’s a five point difference, I don’t like Biden leading. the man is a husk.
Of course this is BS, but then again FL + PA + OH would give Trump 273.
It’s the slickly produced tv commercials. My BF just said this morning that if he didn’t know any better he’d vote for Biden himself based on the ads.
So, in Wisconsin, where GOP voters are vastly outpacing dems in early voting 42-36, has Biden leading by 17? That would mean large percentages of GOPers are backing Biden... that simply doesn’t wash.
Larry Schweikart this morning reports on the surge in R Early Voting (onsite) which if it continues, should swarm the Ds by Election Day. If Trump wins Fla by 3, there is no way he underperforms by 20 in WI that this trash poll would indicate.
I heard someone in-the-know explain that the pollsters finally got hip to the credibility problem they were getting from horrible Dem/Rep/Ind splits, so they solved it one of two ways:
1) The pollster wouldn’t give the split at all, or hide it in their report. Folks were griping about that one, so the pollsters “got smart”, and
2) Chose their polling areas smarter. They’d poll the HEAVY democrat areas so the Dem partisanship was high, and they’d poll suburban RINO mom areas, light blue, so they’d get the weakest Republicans.

The problem is that at this late stage it is better to start telling the truth to pollsters to begin to whip saw them around. The concern is that some politicians will make mistakes they need not make based on the polls. Better to give no answer at all if nothing else.
This poll will not give Biden supporters the energy to vote in Wisconsin. Actually, they will now believe Wisconsin is in the bag...no need for Dems to vote...Biden’s up by 17!

Propaganda is very effective, especially when saturated among emotion-based voters.
It may have the opposite effect in those states as lazy voters say: "Well, ABC told me pedo joe already has it in the bag, so Ima stay home and eat a bag of Cheatos."

Or it could be that the millions that watched Tucker Carlson’s interview last nite decided that they had learned how to steal millions, just like Joe Biden did, so he must be a very bright man.
