China Media Says India 'Bound to Lose' War As New Delhi Signs U.S. Military Intelligence Deal

Chinese state media has warned India not to seek further confrontation with Beijing after New Delhi signed a military intelligence sharing deal with the U.S.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said Monday that the two sides had reached a deal on the Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA), which will allow the two nations to share satellite and sensor data, helping India better select military targets. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary Mark Esper are in India this week for the talks.

New Delhi and Washington have been looking for ways to enhance military and diplomatic ties in recent years, spurred on by concerns in both capitals about China's growing strength. This year has been a particularly straining one for India-China relations, with a decades-long simmering border dispute erupting into deadly violence in June.

China and its state-run media organizations have framed India as a disposable proxy in the wider U.S. effort to contain Beijing, and has repeatedly warned New Delhi away from cooperation with President Donald Trump's administration.

If they were really confident, they wouldn’t be huffing and puffing so much

They better have a lot of security on the 3 Gorges Dam or there could be a serious event and soon.

So we sign a big deal to send anti-ship missiles to Taiwan on the same day we sign a deal to exchange satellite Intel with India. Both of these are states that China has been aggressively saber rattling and, in the case of India, actually clashing with.

Some people are still deluding themselves that we aren't in a very active cold war with China. Like the cold war with the Soviets, we are supporting the enemies of our enemy in order to contain them.

Yet unlike the old cold war, many American politicians, citizens, and business leaders are openly rooting for the enemy.

A good opportunity to see what our new stuff can do in real combat conditions.

Don’t blow it out of proportion. Active cold war with China? Lol. Do you believe America can afford it? Liberals’ socialist big welfare society dream, neocons’ Russophobia NATO spending.....rely on “made in China”.

Lol. India could easily cut off China’s oil supply. Both by ship and through any future pipeline from Iran. It would only take one gun boat to stop the flow of oil tankers. And China does not have a Navy capable of enough force projection to counter India.

Like all communists they rely on threats when they are impotent. Unfortunately cowardly westerners are always willing to appease them and/or take bribes.

Words are a lot cheaper than real bloodshed - if they can intimidate India with words, they will. As for India, they need to wake up and realize they don't have eternity to build a modern military and start buying US hardware - they've made a start but their fighter jet acquisition process seems like a never-ending farce.

A Intel sharing deal with India is not a big deal. Don’t forget America’s ally, Pakistan.

Would 2-3 nations move against the islands China has built up? They’re fighting amongst themselves over them so I don’t think so. All of them need to come together without uncle sam’s encouragement.

India, Formosa, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, etc... etc...
Everybody has their vice clamped on China's balls w.r.t. 3 Gorges...
Maybe the Chicoms should have built several smaller dams...

Don’t blow it out of proportion. Active cold war with China? Lol.

Whether we can afford it or not, China has spun up hundreds of cyber spies, infiltrated most of our tech industries, bought leaders of our major businesses and many of our political leaders. Maybe my saying 'we' are in an active cold war was poor, but China certainly is.

We have a choice, accept them as the boss and collect the scraps they give us or push back. Trump is pushing back in small way, many others in DC want him gone so they can back to welcoming their new Chinese overlords.

Politicians like to talk about Russia, Russia, Russia. The real threat is China.
