National Public Radio. Their own nation, of recent birth, within the swamp.

It’s a travesty that tax revenue from ALL of America’s taxpayers supports the NPR... which only speaks for LIBERAL taxpayers.
They need to be held to account...or give up the Federal revenue. PERIOD

And taxpayer funded; totally biased towards liberals and their ideals. They slam conservatives every chance. Remember Air America, the liberal news show? Funny that Air America is CIA and they use that name for their now defunct show.

This is a perfect time window, just prior to Nov 3, to be thinking about what priorities to focus on, in anticipation (cross fingers) of a big Trump win and wins downstream into Congress, for the next 2 years. I say 2, because to say 4 might mean pushing the can down the road for the first 2 years.
Highest on the list MUST be election reforms - voting on the one day, purging the dead, etc.
Next, is defunding the obsolete public radio and tv stations. They were put in place during a time of very few choices - ok, they initially filled a roll. They produced Big Bird. But now, there are millions of choices. Take the taxpayer money out of it. Merge any remaining pockets of usefulness into VOA.

...But why do all the male broadcasters at NPR, with the exception of Scott Simon, have a lisp?

While I favor defunding NPR, I think the best way is to go after all the individual licenses that the FCC grants the member stations. If the “member stations” start to restrict “NPR” content, NPR will loose most of its funding as it takes more than Uncle Sam provides to run their propaganda machine.
Each station is required to maintain a file of complaints that are reviewed whenever a license is evaluated for renewal.
