Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Monday warned that "there seems to be a COVID storm coming" and urged residents to be prepared as the state's metrics continue rising.
"No matter where in Illinois you call home: as you go about your daily life, remember that this is not over," Pritzker said as he delivered his daily coronavirus press briefing.
The governor warned that six of the state's 11 healthcare regions will be under stricter mitigations this week, but more could soon follow.

There is no covid storm coming, and dare I say, there never was anything approaching a storm in this entire event. Did people get sick? Yes. Did some die? Yes. Was it ever, or is it ever going to be a storm? No.
As someone once said here on FR, imagine a virus, so deadly, that you had to be tested to know you have it.
People without symptoms are not cases, and furthermore, cases DO NOT MATTER, DEATHS DO.
If it has ramped up it would be because evil RATs have been re-releasing it for political advantage.
We are all, as a nation, unsafe with the democrats not being held to account for their many crimes against humanity.

That said, second of all, from this page you can see that the 'surge' in positive test results are from people 20-29 years old in Illinois. While I don't have Illinois data, per this CDC page you see people 20-29 accounted for 24% of the nation's 6.5MM cases...but only 0.5% of the nation's 165M fatalities attributed to COVID19.
In other words, the Gov is telling people to prepare for a tornado when all that's coming is some rain.
The Left always overplays their hand, and they sure as hell have done it this time. They thought all the Pandemic hysteria would turn voters against Donald Trump. Instead what is happening is that all the true-believing Democrats are cowering under their beds in fear, too scared to go out and vote while Trump’s supporters are holding rallies and voting in droves.
I knew back in April that we would see a “dramatic surge” in CoVid-19 cases just before the election, particularly in swing states. I must have been epidemiologist in a past life.
