Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar on Monday tweeted 'expand the court' just moments after Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed by the Senate. Cortez added: 'Republicans do this because they don't believe Dems have the stones to play hardball like they do. And for a long time they've been correct. But do not let them bully the public into thinking their bulldozing is normal but a response isn't. There is a legal process for expansion.' Her initial tweet was reposted by fellow squad member Ilhan Omar, who also wrote: 'Expand the court.'
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said: 'Should we expand the court, lets take a look and see.' She tweeted Monday: 'President Trump and Senate Republicans have committed an act of supreme desperation: jamming through a Supreme Court nominee just eight days before Election Day as part of their years-long campaign to destroy Americans’ health care.' Pelosi added in a statement: 'The President’s Supreme Court manipulation threatens the very values and rights that define and distinguish our nation.'

Oh look, the children are throwing a fit and holding their breath. Again. I never rewarded such behavior from my kids (and it rapidly stopped once they learned to control their emotions). We as a society cannot reward it when elected representatives engage in the exact same thing.

I’ve mentioned this before. A pundit on the news said yesterday, “Just remember this, Democrats, whatever you say you’re going to do, the Republicans can do, too.” (not verbatim. This had to do with packing and filibuster.
I have joked that if/when PDJT wins next week he should say he’s reviewing his SCOTUS list, and is going to present five nominations to the Senate — just to rattle their chains and see heads explode. Get them chasing THAT squirrel for a week or two and he’ll be able to accomplish real work when they’re not paying attention.
