Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Friday went after Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), asking why anyone would vote for the Republican lawmaker just weeks before his hotly contested election.
Dobbs lashed out at the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman for not subpoenaing the left-wing heads of the censorships Twitter and Facebook until after the election.
I dont know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham. Its just outrageous, Dobbs said. This is the guy who keeps saying, Stay tuned. He said he would get to the bottom of Obamagate with the Judiciary Committee, which has been a year and a half, actually longer, of absolute inert response to these pressing issues of our day.
Dobbs noted how Graham, now one of President Trumps most vocal supporters, was criticized by the then-Republican presidential candidate during the 2016 election.
Trump called Graham one of the dumbest human beings Ive ever seen and said the senator, who was running against him at the time in the GOP primary, is a nut job.
I believe that the presidents words about the senator then apply today, Dobbs said.
Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn, Dobbs pressed. He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. Hes done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone, Stay tuned, time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina.
The fierce condemnation comes after the Senate Judiciary Committee this week voted to subpoena the chief executives of Facebook and Twitter a week after both platforms limited the spread of a controversial article about Hunter Biden, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's son.
Conservatives have argued the social media platforms' actions are indicative of alleged anti-conservative bias.
The panel voted 12-0 to compel the testimony of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. The Democrats on the committee had boycotted the hearing over the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
Graham had said he was considering holding the hearing in November, which I think would be a great time to do it. See how the election went.
Dobbss scathing segment went viral on social media, garnering more than 2 million views on Twitter.
It also attracted praise from the anti-Trump GOP group The Lincoln Project.
The Lincoln Project rarely agrees with Lou Dobbs, but today we join in his sentiments that South Carolinians should not re-elect the spineless, do-nothing dead weight Senator Lindsey Graham, the group wrote in a statement. Lindsey Graham is a weak man with a weak character. While we hate to give Lou Dobbs any credibility, when hes right, hes right and should be commended for calling out Graham for being the pathetic swamp rat he is.
The four-term senator is currently locked in a heated reelection battle against Democrat Jaime Harrison, who raked in more than $22 million in the first two weeks of October.
Recent polling shows a tight race in South Carolina. A survey from Morning Consult released on Thursday found Harrison leading Graham by a 2-point margin, while a poll from The New York Times and Siena College out last week showed Graham ahead by 6 points.
Yes, and every Never Trump outlet is republishing it to hurt Graham’s reelection bid. Dobbs is their useful idiot. Congrats Lou, here’s your hat.
Sadly we need the senate seat. Anyone who watches Lou knows he becomes furious at the slightest disagreement with his views.
I hope we don’t lose the Senate.
True. The time for purity is in the primary. Graham losing could be the difference between Leader McConnell and Leader Schumer.
Whatever Dobbs, this is no time to eat our own.
What you need to do is support Lindsey, help him retain his seat... And then if your are not happy, talk to him in private.
Enough with the public bickering.
Vote RED, Remove Every Democrat.
Even if Flimsy Graham is all talk, he is better than a Democrat. Until we can find a stronger Republican, Graham is good enough. Butter without salt is better on your toast than a turd any day.

“Sadly we need the senate seat”
True dat. The time to get rid of Graham would have been for him to get primaried out. I don’t know if he even had any challengers. It’s critical that the GOP hold onto the Senate. Newsweek is reporting that Trump had expressed doubts that the GOP will be able to hold onto the Senate. They also say that Trump said there are a couple of senators that he just can’t support.
Thats all fine and goid
Primary him
If we have his seat turn dem that is an even greater betrayal of Trump. Holding the senate and regaining the house are necessary things. Imagine what it would be like with the house and senate in the hands of dems
Graham has voted for key legislation and judges
Limpsay has been a thorn in the supposedly Republicans side. He will suck either side’s “unit”... whatever fits his need at the time. I would love to retain the Senate without him.
Graham is better than any Rat that might replace him. Dobbs might want to take that into consideration.
Timing is everything, and this ain’t the right time.
Graham reminds me of that unreliable player that can save the game when given that special motivation to shine. Otherwise, he’s foolishly self-serving.
If you think about it those are normal comments for Trump to make.
It is imperative that Lindsay Graham's seat in the Senate be saved for the GOP.
FULL STOP
THE idea of being compelled to vote for Lindsay Graham to save the Senate seat for the GOP is utterly repugnant.
The timing of a call to vote against Lindsay Graham could not be worse.
FULL STOP
The timing for these perennial calls is always bad.
At least Lou Dobbs in repeating his acutely ill-timed demand that Lindsay Graham be guillotined is not a hypocrite nor is he inconsistent. He has been forthright in his opposition to Graham and among the most prominent in pointing out Graham's hypocrisy. He has been doing so for as long as I can remember. Nor is Dobbs' calls to repentance limited to Graham, he has been consistent and consistently right in indicting the phonies of the Republican establishment.
Our problem is that we always find ourselves in this dilemma whether it involves Lindsay Graham, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins or (gasp!) Mitt Romney. Worse, the Democrats have mastered the art of party discipline, a survival skill which seems to have eluded us.
Every cycle at the most inopportune and critical time we hear calls to decapitate one or another Rino Senator only to be confronted with the irrefutable truth that we simply cannot afford to do so. We squandered the last six years of this senator's term, and thus we have left ourselves no choice.
So we avert our eyes, hold our nose, dutifully cast our vote, bend over and beg for another and another over every six year cycle.
The Democrats have virtually every institution in America on their side and they know that any maverick senator who strays off the reservation will be ruthlessly terminated as quickly as any slanderer of Mohammed. Consider also, money in the Democrat party is strictly controlled, even more so than Mitch McConnell's largess among Republicans, and discipline is easier to inflict. Money remains the mother's milk of politics. We should always follow the money.
Now is the time to remind ourselves that the Lindsay Graham's in our world must go but now is not the time to act on the impulse. We have six years for that.
Because the alternative at this point is a Democrat.
Hold that thought Lou until his next primary.
Potential pickups in MI and AL will offset his loss..
However I don’t think he will lose SC> I just can’t see it happening.
If Lou thinks the Big Tech sitch is bad now...
The time for this debate was the primaries. Today, we need to get out and vote for Graham.
