But her most significant moment came when Dupri asked the question in a friendly, supportive fashion during a roundtable discussion at the Gathering Spot, a popular Atlanta business club.
She promised the group that she understood the challenges Black men face and said shed fight to decriminalize marijuana and press for other overhauls. And she cast her work as San Franciscos district attorney as an effort to fix an inherently flawed system.
Yes, I was a prosecutor," she said. "I decided to go in a system that I knew was flawed to reform it. Yes, I decided to go up the rough side of the mountain, as we say in church. And I didnt fix the entire system.

I decided to go up the rough side of the mountain, as we say in church.
= = =
Never heard that in church, in 60 years of church, or in anywhere in the Bible.
. . .
I am afraid ‘up the rough side’ has perverse implications.
Maybe her auto correct changed crotch to church.
Georgia isnt Madras. Go home, Kamala.
“Yes, I decided to go up the rough side of the mountain, as we say in church. “

So which side is Willie Brown’s rough side?
Never heard that phrase either
Is she delivering her ‘message’ on her knees, heels up?
Get back home, Kamala.
Please tell me she wasn’t talking about forest mowing the “shrub”, or about willie browns hairy legs.
Now, now. We all do what we must to get ahead.
OK, that's not how I meant it.
Kamala is the poster child for why Black men prefer White women.
VIDEO 13min: 23 Oct: Sky News Australia: Biden panders to a radical ideology which poses a severe threat to civilisation
Academic James Lindsay says the ideology beneath the Democrats radical base is what will dictate policy in a Biden administration whether Joe Biden believes it or not.
Mr Lindsay described himself as a lifelong Democrat but has only recently decided to unhappily vote Republican on the basis that Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden is pandering to a radical left base.
He said towards the end of the final presidential debate, the former vice president said he wanted to ensure everybody addresses systemic racism.
This kind of panders to that very radical base, and the thing is; I dont know how radical the Democratic Party is, I know theyre permissive to this ideology, Mr Lindsay told Sky News.
Its not that the Democratic Party has necessarily become radical itself, its that theyre permissive to people who are radical, to a movement which is radical.
He said this radical element within the party poses a severe threat to the American Republic and to the entire liberal order of western civilisation.

This isn’t about Willie Brown
Now, see, there you go. That's just what I was talking about!
Don’t you love how these secular atheists get all churchy every 4 years.
She promised the group that she understood the challenges Black men face...Says the Uber priviledged Indian/Jamaican woman.
Yeah it's pretty much de rigueur.
Nothing Harris says is of little interest......she’s such a poor representative for a VP and the voters know this.
What would an Indian woman know about black men?
Don’t ask that question. The answer will be TMI.
I thought we couldn’t say “take aim” anymore.
Or was thst just Palin?
