When Biden was describing oil on the windshields I was thinking what world is he living in.

I was thinking, “That’s possible ... in 1950.“

“Joe says his plan is to turn Obamacare into “Bidencare””

unfricking believable that biden would generate a term based on the worst and most hated insurance plan in the history of the united states ... i was practically stunned when he started prattling on about “bidencare”, and then to top if off, he guaranteed that no one would lose their current insurance plan ... all that was missing was the “period!” ...

He’s looking at his pants.

Because he’s wet himself.

I think it's easy for you and I to assimilate all this information into prepared responses.

I think it's easy for President Trump to do so, because he has experts at his disposal and knows more inside information that we do.

That said, I think:

  1. There are probably some things he knows, and he knows he can't say and has to filter himself.
  2. Some information was late-breaking and he was probably in transit to the venue and focusing on last-minute details.
  3. He's still the President, and we don't know if there were other issues he was facing that were being discussed that had nothing to do with the debate but were still occupying his mind.
  4. The news cycle will go on tomorrow. The voters are going to watch what they saw tonight and what they see covered tomorrow. More outlets will report the story, some somewhat accurately and other hysterically inaccurately. The blockade on the story is over.
  5. After tonight's performance, Biden will be forced to go on the road more often. No more "lids." He's not one day away from dementia.
  6. More news will drop. The foundation has been laid. Dots will be connected. Biden will be asked about the daily "new news" on the stump. The pundits will take it as it comes, but the viewers will see.

I don't agree that it was a missed opportunity. I see it as President Trump spending his political capital to lay the foundation for the next two weeks' narrative against Biden, his career, and his family's exploitation of his position.

I believe General Flynn and Steve Bannon are missed this cycle re: your point about speech writers giving him small paragraphs as talking points. Both those men were with the President toward the end of the 2016 cycle. The Inaugural Address was the climax of it all. I wonder who the writers were?

"...for the little energy they capture it’s a huge sum of money!"

Look at the money Obama wasted on solar factories. He gave billions of money to solar companies and the bulk of them went bankrupt, or just shut their doors. Example: Solyndra. That's all Joe's proposed solar farms would end up doing too.

“Biden is slurring his words....Gezuz.”

slurring, stuttering, reverting to canned campaign platitudes, constantly making facial expressions of frustration, and eventually his tongue comes out in a weird twisting motion, which is a symptom of tardive dyskinesia, which is a NASTY side-effect of large numbers of anti-psychotic and anti-dementia medictions ...

really, you could see when biden really started to lose it from the constant pressure from trump ...

Biden will be forced to go on the road more often.

_That_ is going to be fun to watch.

He may make gaffes that will be truly historic, even crazier than his vicious attack on a man not able to be there to defend himself, Abraham Lincoln!

Who does Biden think he is, Stephen Douglas? ;-)

Actually the Bidens got paid by Iraq, China, Romania, Ukraine, Kasakistan and others as not yet disclosed....but they will be. Pop Biden and mom Jill were never to be mentioned as getting their cut on these deals..but James and Hunter were certainly everywhere cutting deals.....

Been spending 3 days now going over their stuff....and reports as well as from years past....and it’s not only corruption it’s treason.

There has been a powerful propaganda counteraction against the reports of the health impact on people living near these things; but I wouldn’t want to live near one:

I searched for any polls too, specifically using “2020 Third Presidential Debate Polls” and found nothing.

This is the second debate, but usually the search engines correct for such things.

"President Trump walked off the debate stage *looked at staff* said “let’s finish this”..."

I thought for sure he would have said: "Joe mentioned poor boys, and that made me hungry. Let's go eat."

It made me hungry.

Bidens...... “reverting to canned campaign platitudes”.....

Oh my gosh yes and he lives in the past.......comparing oil companies 60 yrs ago as if today was revealing. And when he said he get rid of emissions on fracking.........there are none!

“Uh oh.. Moderator dared ask Biden a tough question.. He goes apesh*t.”

by the time the debate ended, she had asked biden several tough questions ... i could hardly believe it ...

Biden’s worst moments, what stands out? When his sentences fell apart and because he was trying so hard to be cogent, we all felt slightly sorry for old corn pop. I’m serious. If he was my candidate, I’d be cheering that he stayed on topic and mostly coherent the entire debate. That’s the good and the bad news. He’s a pathological liar who tells a world class business real estate developer bald face lies about real world issues. Putting Biden against Trump, who could flatten any younger person in debate, was a cynical strategy to make Trump’s strength look like bullying. Did it work for the Dems? Will they find evidence of “bullying” poor old Joe from Scranton?
