Senate Democrats will BOYCOTT SCOTUS committee vote for Amy Coney Barrett and put pictures of people with pre-existing conditions on their chairs in protest at Trump nomination

Democrats plan to skip the committee vote in protest Thursday, but do not have the power to stop the nomination from advancing. They blasted Barrett during her confirmation hearings and showed images of Americans at risk if they lose Affordable Care Act coverage. Sen. Charles Schumer called her views 'out of the mainstream', while pro-choice group NARAL called for Judiciary top Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein to lose her post for showing insufficient fight in the hearings. Democrat's move is to deny quorum. It could force the panel to change its rules. 'I will move forward. She deserves a vote,' said panel chair Sen. Lindsey Graham. Sen. Mitch McConnell is planning for a Monday floor vote.

What are these people 12 years old??

Mentally that does a diservice to those who are twelve. I have come to believe if the total IQ of the entire dem congress is probably not greater than 2000. And to think, we are led by this group of dopes. I guess were it not for elective office, they would be drying cars in a car wash.

Democrats say that Trump wants to get rid of Obamacare but has not proposed a replacement. They say that will end health CARE for people with pre-existing conditions. Of course Obamacare is about health INSURANCE. not health CARE. Democrats always want to keep things confused. Republicans do not educate people even when it would be in their best interest to do so. Democrats get away with being dishonest largely because of this.

It will be like the NBA playoffs putting cardboard cutouts of fans in the seats.

No - Bork nomination advanced to the floor with a negative recommendation.

I’m not sure about quorum - it’s majority for a floor vote but I don’t know about committee.

I think the bigger news around this is Biden admitting he would stack the court.

IIRC, Texas Dems fled the state to avoid voting. GOP sent TSP and dragged their sorry a$$es back. Senate certainly has means to do likewise.

5 to 4, not 6 to 3. The Chief Justice is compromised.

They just can’t let go of that pre-existing condition thing ... even though they’ve been proven wrong time and time again.

How are they getting away with this pre-existing condition crap when the president has repeatedly said he will protect those people?

They don't care. They know their followers and the ill-informed will believe anything and everything they say.

I suppose the GOP can find chairs for pictures of abortion victims.

What a childish stunt. I would expect something like this from Nazi Pelosi but not in the Senate of the United States.

One would be stretched to see Merrick Garland as an ideological replacement for Antonin Scalia.

Whose picture also deserves a chair at the event.

Yes. Worst of all I fear my 2 small grandchildren will never have the opportunity to make real life choices. They’ll be indoctrinated by those of the liberal in-laws.

You’re right. I have seen 12 year old kids that can conduct themselves much better. A lot of these dems could not make it in the private sector.....they are useless.
