Huckabee advises Trump to not focus on Hunter Biden during debate

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) on Wednesday urged President Trump to not focus on Hunter Biden during the second and final presidential debate, saying it would be "a mistake."

The former GOP presidential candidate argued during an appearance on "Fox & Friends" that "the average person doesn't understand" the "complicated" nature of the story around the younger Biden and how it pertains to his father, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“Forget about all the distractions of everything except one thing: Remind the American people that it is their lives that really on the mark right now," Huckabee said on Fox News, where he is a contributor.

"But he’s leading with Hunter Biden,” co-host Brian Kilmeade noted, referring to allegations about the younger Biden's business ties that Trump and his allies have raised recently. “Is that a mistake?”

“Yes, it is a mistake,” Huckabee replied. “Because the average person doesn’t understand it. It’s too complicated. And frankly, it doesn’t matter to them."

"They care about their health care costs. They care about their taxes. They care about safety in their neighborhood on their block," he added. "Focus on that, and he wins the election by a landslide."

Trump and Biden will square off in Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday night in their final showdown just 12 days ahead of the Nov. 3 election. The debate is expected to draw more than 70 million viewers.

So the guy that ran twice and was beaten by the very same that also were rejected several times is giving advice to a first time runner that won and is ahead in real polls, I don’t think so mikey, maybe you should sit and think about the reason the LORD gave us two ears and one mouth.

I heard Huckabees unfiltered statement

He is correct. The President should not focus on the Biden corruption. To not focus does not mean not noting. Any mention of the corruption will be taken up by the media.

Biden is vulnerable on many subjects. Presenting the wide range of badness can be more effective then focus on one

I don’t agree with Mike on this one - but he’s NOT calling Trump supporters stupid!

He is not even talking about Trump supporters, who would crawl over broken glass to vote for President Trump.

He is talking about people who - 12 days from the election - are still undecided and could be influenced by what is said in tonight’s rigged debate.

He is talking about people who are unsure whether to reelect a proven promise keeper, a national treasure - or put a corrupt pay-for-play DC lifer in the White House, a proven globalist sell-out.

And frankly, anyone who can’t figure that out by now IS stupid:

Maybe Huckabee is right - maybe this is his way of saying what everyone knows to be true of independent voters still sitting on the fence:

“It’s the economy, stupid”.

Has anyone been thinking that tonight is one, very large, “perjury trap” for Biden?

Let’s pay attention to the answers...my guess is if there is a question posed by Trump that seems “off” or about something we haven’t heard...we will hear about it ten minutes after the debate.

Trump is running as an outsider to “drain the swamp.” He has no greater evidence of that than VP Biden taking piles of Chicom cash while in office. Nobody wants to talk about this because its SOP for beltway sewer rats.

Let law enforcement deal with the porn ...

What "law" enforcement is that?

Rudy brought it to the Delaware State Police. The Delaware State Police sent it to the FBI.

The FBI?

Puhleese!!!

I expect there will be new leadership at both the FIB and DoJ shortly after the election.

Huckabee can piss off. We now know for sure how little he respects the intelligence of the average American.

Trump know all about sound bytes and attention spans. He knows that the press has the attention span of a gnat. All he has to do is distill the entire thing down to one easily digested phrase “Joe Biden abused his office to enrich his family.” Anyone who wants to learn more about it is welcome to do so, but it all comes down to that one line, which should be repeated by every single Republican commentator and campaign official, over and over until it is drilled in to the nation’s psyche.

This statement makes Huckabee look really bad on a number of different levels.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Huckabee smiles like a sissy. I am always telling the Mrs., “Mike Huckabee, replace the “H” (while recalling that song from the early 60’s “The Name Game”, as in “Chuck, Chuck, Bo Buck, banana fanna fo .......” )
