Michael Medved backs both GOP, Dems in 2020 Voters Guide

President: Joe Biden

For 32 years, from 1980 through 2012, I only voted for Republican nominees for president, proudly backing principled conservatives from Ronald Reagan to Mitt Romney.

This time, I am voting for Joe Biden, not because I feel confident that he will reconcile the nation’s warring tribes but because I believe there’s at least a chance that he might. With another term of Trump, there is no chance.

For two reasons, a second term would bring disastrous consequences. First, because a triumphant Trump would view his upset victory as the justification for more divisiveness, crushing deficits and chaotic governance. Second, giving an impulsive president “Four More Years” would bring far more suffering. Even our greatest chief executives, from Washington and Jefferson through FDR and Reagan, suffered significant setbacks in their second terms, paralyzed as lame ducks whose encore agendas never match their first term achievements.

That’s a particular danger in Trump’s case, since he has stoutly refused to sketch out new plans for the years ahead and seems perfectly content to promise more of the same.

Why would any voter want more of this?

Opinion polls show that over two-thirds who say our nation is on the wrong track, with less than a third of us who sense we’re moving in the right direction. We can’t change course without changing leadership at the top. Most Americans understand that dilemma and will, after the resounding rejection the president richly deserves, feel an instant sense of relief and a burst of fresh hope. That also means a new beginning for my party, the GOP, and I hope to participate in many meaningful Republican victories in the future.

“I truly thought he passed away😳 “ ******************************* Well, his mind has clearly passed away. The rest of him is clearly dead to me.

Rush gets a medal of freedom. As for Medved, most people don’t even remember who he is. Says a lot.

Agree with everything that you posted. I live in WA state too. I listen to Medved on the radio quite often. He’s no conservative. I’m not surprised that he’s endorsing democrats.

His argument are absurdly weak.

Elect biden so terrorists stop destroying our country?

2nd terms are usually completely ineffectual?

Then does he support just one term?

Reagan kept the heat on the USSR throughout his second term...they didn’t fall because he backed off.

He also gave that tiny, unimportant speech in West Berlin in 1987 where he said those silly words “TEAR DOWN THIS WALL”

Not to mention even a “lame-duck” president gets to nominate SC picks.

Clarence might be saying goodbye after an incredible journey and fantastic job and service to his country.

He is not as selfish as rbg and perhaps he will decide in Trump’s last year if he is up for another decade or so.

Silly man. Silly article. Silly premises.

Michael Medved was never a true American patriot.

Medved was Ben Shapiro before Ben Shapiro was Ben Shapiro.

I see why he lost his national show on Salem Network stations. This guy has jumped the shark.

And this is the guy who would sub for Rush back in the late 90's.

Just pulls off the veneer of Michael Medved, he rather be a harpie RINO in the corner, complaining about the democrats, rather than getting things done as Donald Trump has done.

What a sad soul.

Even Chris Matthews subbed for Rush in the 90s.

KTTH Seattle needs to dump this guy. He did the same thing in 2016 defending his old law school pal Hillary Clinton. Medved is a pompous windbag and I stopped listening to him years ago.

He used to be one of the most articulate spokesmen for the conservative cause.

You just found out that Michael Medved was NEVER a conservative.

He was always a Democrat.

Thnak you, President Trump, for revealing this piece of Democrat dogsqueezins to the world.

Shapiro has endorsed Trump. He is as good as anyone today at explaining conservative principles to college students.

Yep I rememberfor years, listening to Dennis Prayer, followed by Michael Medved on Salem radio. With this sort of political view it makes me happy he lost his Salem gig.

Medved was always a squish. Not really a surprise. In any case, Medved is way past his expiration date.

Living in the Seattle area, I have found myself listening to MM less and less.

With this, I am totally done with the guy. You know the saying, "too smart for your own good". That's MM.

I am going to email KTTH and politely ask MM be removed from the air. I'm sure some lib station will pick him up and that's where he belongs. Perhaps on a lib station, he can at least get some lefty's moved to the squishy middle.

Going to listen to Lars Larson in that time slot now.
