In the days following the election well continue to come out into the streets every day to respond to rapidly changing events. We may be waiting for votes to be counted or we may be responding to major attacks on democracy. Over the next few weeks well use our Spokes Council process to plan actions that are flexible and can scale to respond to a lot of different scenarios.
Then, on Nov. 8-11, the groups plan is to meet members of Congress returning to Washington DC for the lame-duck session. If Trump is trying to launch a coup, thats no time for business as usual. Well meet them at the train station or the airports or if they drive into town we can meet them at their homes, the website says.
A slide deck posted on the groups website from an organizing call claims this group is working in concert with leftist groups around the nation to prepare for President Trump to steal the election and attempt a coup. The slides pinpoint now as the time these groups are gathering gear to respond.
The post-election plan of action links to the groups advice about taking appropriate precautions for security. This includes forming affinity groups that will go into more detail and possibly engage in higher risk actions.
Keep in mind that not everyone needs to know every detail of your plans, says the post-election plan about taking appropriate precautions. We dont! Feel free to only share what people outside your [affinity group] need to know, and keep the specific action details close to the vest.
What kinds of actions these might be are stated in a Strategic framework for action following the 2020 election that sketches out their plans for rioting and attacking American institutions and life until Biden is installed as president. It claims if Trump declares victory that will mark the start of the coup.
At some point in the days following the election Trump will almost certainly either attempt to declare outright victory or attempt to invalidate the results of the election. That is the start of the coup, it claims. Trump can only seize power if the world believes that he has the power. Thats why were starting this phase of the election in the streets We need to show that were ungovernable under a continued Trump administration That can mean blocking traffic at major intersections and bridges, shutting down government office buildings (why should ICE or the FBI be able to keep doing Trumps bidding when hes leading with a coup?!?), or blockading the White House.
The document bases its action plan upon the scenarios projected by the establishment leftist Transition Integrity Project for election night and sketches these activists response to each, explicitly rejecting the possibility that Trump could legitimately win. It continues:
Well keep it going until Trump concedes. We could be in the streets throughout the fall and into the winter maybe as lots of rolling waves of action or possibly as a few major tsunamis! In other parts of the country, as vote counts conclude, our focus will turn from protecting the vote counts to themselves being ungovernable. As it becomes clear that Trumps coup is failing, institutions and the elites will start to abandon him or we will approach them as part of the problem. Either Amazon will shut down AWS for the Trump loyalists in the government or well shut down their fulfillment centers. Either governors will tell their national guards to stand down or well shut down their state capitals as well. Over time, Trump will grow increasingly isolated and his empire will crumble down around him.
Then and this is the important part Biden will move into the White House and be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.
On its Facebook page, the group recently posted a picture of a mob arriving at Sen. Lindsey Grahams house at 6 a.m. to harass him for following the Constitution. In the picture, one protest sign reads, We cant sleep so neither should Lindsey.
Preventing Donald Trump from stealing the election and remaining in office is likely to take mass, sustained disruptive movements all over the country, the groups website posted on Oct. 7.
Puting [sic] pressure on the media and social media agencies to refuse to declare a victor, resisting demands to call the vote in forvor [sic] of Trump, physically protecting the vote count from counter-protestors, federal agents, or white supremacist militias are all potential actions in this moment, says the groups Disruption Guide for 2020. The guide, a Google document, had 61 viewers at the moment it was reviewed for The Federalist.
Instead of your point 3, I would declare the State of Douglass encompassing not just almost all of what is now DC (save the carved out “national park”), but also Alexandria, Fairfax city, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Prince William County and Loudon County from VA and Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Charles County (plus optimalky Howard County too, although I don’t want to get greedy) from MD. The new state would e overwhelmingly Democrat, but it would turn what remains of VA back into a solidly GOP state and would make the snaller MD very competitive for us in state races. We would go from 4 Democrat senators and 0 Republican senators from the region to at worst 4 Democrat and 2 Republican senators; and our 2012 and 2016 EVs from the region would have gone from 26 D, 0 R to 16 D, 10 R.
Louisville and maybe Bowling green are the only really SOLIDLY blue parts of the state. But step outside of that area and you really want to be more polite. :)
Black lives plaza? WTF?
I think she did this as a response to President Trump’s daring to walk to the burnt church as well telling ‘mostly peaceful’ protesters not to mess with Jackson’s statue. And to further the point she had city workers paint ‘Black Lives Matter’ on the street itself.
Didn’t they also promise to protest outside the White House every day since September 17?
With the re-election of Trump his hands and his supporters hands are untied and to steal a line from Tombstone:
Tell em the laws coming. You tell em Im coming, and hells coming with me!
Thank you for writing exactly what I was going to type. If this insurrection actually takes place, the choosing of sides will be final, and the consequences will be quite fatal. We The People have been law abiding and remained within the constraints of law. Take those restraints away? They have no clue what we are capable of.
Some will run but most will stand and fight if you are trying to burn down their homes and businesses and harm their families. In the last 25 yrs we have had demonstrations in my small town that had the potential to get out of hand. In both cases myself, Dad and brothers went to our small business heavily armed and prepared to use deadly force to defend the 60 year old business.
We didn’t want to be there or do what we knew we might have to do but from the first event that happened in the late 1990’s we sat down talked it over and resolved it was our lively hood, my parents lively hood and there was too much sweat, blood and tears poured into it to let a bunch of savages destroy it, thus it and the homes will be defended with whatever it takes.
Get your kit ready in case this nonsense comes to your hood.
Otherwise, I trust theres plenty of jail space available, and the will to use it.
Not saying that these rioters shouldnt be shot - I think they should be.
I agree that aggressive law enforcement would put an end to this, and Im
all for it.
But the Kent State shootings didnt stop anything - it just made the campus demonstrations all around the country much worse.
Unfortunately Im old enough to remember it as I was a college kid at the time.
Well, I’m looking at it purely as defense, just like Kyle, but this speaks to why it was so important to get the guns and ammo my dad left me back home from Seattle before the election.
I’m going back to help another friend to move to Idaho. I’ll bring the Mossberg 930 with me on that trip.
Heck, we may need some huge prisons soon. Think “escape from New York.”
The trouble with Kent State was that only 8 were killed and as I recall, none wounded or maimed for life.
A few hundred dead or maimed will send a message
A good lawyer paid by the riot inciter is no good for you if you are dead
Insurrection Act.
R.I.C.O.
GITMO
Or, to take your proposal a step further, super size Maryland all the way to Baltimore and Wilmington, fold the Eastern Shore south of the C & O Canal into Delaware and the Panhandle from Hancock and points east into West Virginia where they are more of a cultural fit anyway. Ditto for the Eastern Shore and Delaware south of the C&O Canal.
I absolutely agree. I will say no more but believe you are right.
Find a way to take federal crime prosecutions and trials out of DC. Make a law or amendment that they can be moved to an interior area of the country.
If the rioters can be found to have violated Federal law, they should be held accountable in Federal court.
Wow - amazing article.
There were 4 dead in O-hio !
