The Supreme Court on Monday shut down a GOP-led effort to block an extended period for counting ballots in the crucial presidential swing state of Pennsylvania.
Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the high court's three liberals, resulting in a 4-4 tie. Justices Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh sided with the state GOP.
In the event of a 4-4 deadlock, the lower court ruling is affirmed and upheld. In this case, a ruling that favored state Democrats won out.
The court is not at full capacity and was forced to issue a ruling with only eight justices, due to the vacant seat left behind by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which is expected to be filled by President Trump's nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
The ruling means that Pennsylvania will be able to accept and count ballots up to three days after the Tuesday election, until Friday, Nov. 6.
For these kinds of time-sensitive appeals, a 4-4 tie by the U.S. Supreme Court means the state court ruling that favored the state’s Democrats is upheld.
This news comes on the same day that the High Court announced it would hear key cases related to Trump's immigration policies.
One case involves the Trump administration's "Remain in Mexico" asylum policy, and the other deals with funding for the wall being constructed on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Yes, but not nearly as bad as people here think.
1) Can be appealed as soon as ACB is on.
2) Likelihood that since this wasn’t a PRECEDENT setting decision the USSC is probably looking at many of these similar cases and wants to rule on all of them at once.
3) Even if it stood, because the the idiotic strategy of VBM by the DemoKKKrats, they are gonna be all voted out so that on ED or since they have no more votes “to come in.” Therefore ANY “new” ballot is going to be inspected up and down. Rs are there on these inspection boards. No, you’re not going to get a mysterious “batch” of 200,000 ballots. My guess is that since they’ve voted themselves out already, it would way under 1% to come in.
Trump will win PA by 150,000 at least.
But still, it just goes to show everyone what a turncoat Roberts has become. He needs to be removed from the SC, pure and simple. He’s a traitor to the US.
Hey Roberts - there are democrat judges and justices, and you are one of them.
This is a personal hate that Roberts has for Trump. So much for the law. So much for calling balls and strikes. Roberts has turned the Supreme Court into a third legislative branch, controlled by democrats.

There is a “John Roberts” listed on the flight log to Epstein’s island. No one knows if it is the Chief Justice, but I suspect it is. How many other famous John Robert’s does anyone know of?
