Former Democratic Sen. Robert Torricelli told Americas Newsroom Wednesday that nominating former Vice President Joe Biden as the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee would be problematic due to the lingering questions about his son's financial dealings with Ukraine and China.
The problem Democrats are facing in this race is that if Joe Biden is the nominee, Hunter Biden becomes 'Hillary Clintons emails,' Torricelli said, predicting that the side issue will dog his campaign as it did for the former secretary of state in 2016.

Last week, Hunter Biden broke his silence since his relationship with companies in Ukraine and China came under scrutiny.
In a nationally televised interview, Biden maintained he did nothing improper while he served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company. Biden, 49, told ABC's "Good Morning America" that accepting the lucrative position was, in retrospect, "poor judgment."
Biden said he did not discuss the Burisma Holdings board seat with his father, except for one "brief exchange" that was previously reported.
Hunter Biden announced previously he will be stepping down from the board of a Chinese equity fund and that he would not work for any foreign-owned companies if his father becomes president.

Good Morning America” that accepting the lucrative position was, in retrospect, “poor judgment.”
I think that all criminals should use that defense. “Poor judgement”.
That sh** don’t flush.
Thanks for the post—I think the DNC viewed the Biden corruption as a feature and not a bug.
It meant Biden could be blackmailed to obey his masters.
The DNC was probably confident that the mass media could “hold the line” and keep Biden safe. They also planned to play the “big tech censorship card” as a last resort.
The DNC failure (after the fact) will be seen as the result of their leaders being too f*&^ing _old_ to truly understand the digital age.
The Internet wants to be free. Information wants to be free.
They are now going to learn that lesson—again—the hard way.
A new lesson they are going to learn the hard way is that using riots and doxxing as tools of intimidation are _not_ going to work, and the majority of average Americans are just getting sick and tired of it and will vote against it.
Us. Rep. from NJ from 1983-1997, then became U.S. Sen. from NJ from 1997-2003.
In September 2002, Torricelli ended his Senate re-election campaign after having been formally admonished by the U.S. Senate in connection with a campaign finance scandal.
Very good point. Everyone knew all this already.
And if anyone wanted to document it they wouldn’t really have needed H.Bidens laptop. Thats just a nice to have.
So why did they (all the characters with the real money) push Biden?
They are either stupid or are playing a deeper game.
...and when the Torch bailed out, the SCONJ ruled with incredulity that the Dems didn’t need to follow the rules (i.e. That his name stay on the ballot) and replaced him with the ultimate winner, Frank Lautenberg.
Yeah I had forgotten about that. Thanks for the addition. 8>)
Cgbg thinks the powers that be did it for leverage over Biden. I suggested it was to avoid a Bernie nomination (since he probably can't be bought by the powers that be). They all are plausible.
Government is incompetent. It's also corrupt. I don't know which exists in greater measure.
The torch knows Bidens corruption makes his look like a jaywalking ticket
I would expect Hunter to “characterize” his actions as pure as the driven snow. I di’it do nuffin’!
1 corrupt senator can spot another a mile away.
Being afflicted by CRS, who was the Clintonista that took the archived docs away stuffed in his pants and socks? The main media made the excuse that he was just ‘sloppy.’ An Hispanic fella, I think...
Sandy berger. Aka. The bergler
Ah yes Sandy Burglar, thanks!
Nailed it!
Ignoring a warning about corruption from the Torch is like trying to sail a Sunfish through a Category 5 hurricane.
