Joe Biden’s town hall drew more TV viewers than President Trump’s competing event on Thursday night, according to early figures.
A total of 12.7 million viewers tuned in to ABC to watch Biden field questions from voters from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., compared to 10.4 million who watched Trump do the same on NBC, initial Nielsen ratings show, according to the Wrap.
The Democratic presidential candidate also came out on top with adults ages 18-49, with a 2.6 rating. Trump scored a 1.7 rating.

That’s right, there was no real objectivity. The hideous media has pulled down the mask.
It would be nice if people would learn to see thru it. But I see a lot of people online thinking Kamala won against Pence!
A whole lotta people out there see and hear only what they want.
My fear is that the Left is much more motivated than people think and they will come out of the woodwork just to vote against Trump.
Hopefully our base does the same.

Can you ChicagoConservative ? verify that NBC aired the DjT-Guthrie debate, and when ? I heard on radio that the show could not be found in Chicago, and at least one other major market, as well as some smaller markets.
Some reportedly aired on CNBC only. Phoenix NBC did not air live at 5 p local time but may have aired it later. (I forgot to check as I streamed it live on NBC NY.)
Also , there are some reports of technical problems at the show opening which discouraged viewership. And, as noted, cable numbers are not complete , but will add to DjT’s totals.
Overall, however, I suspect there was just as much curiosity about potential Biden stumbles, and Hunter’s shenanigns.
I want to see photos of Biden’s viewers. Would love to see how living rooms across America look with kitchen chairs placed in circles. It could start a design revolution
and, .... Biden answered his questions well, even in detail at times. He was so different from the way he normally handles himself he must have been provided the questions beforehand. Watch some the footage and you will see what I mean - he had definitely practiced his response.
It’s probably because most people have seen Trump being interved many times over the years, or heard him specking. Biden seldom makes any kind of appearances except in empty parking lots, cornfields, etc., and almost never answers questions. Of course last night it was just little Georgie pitching softballs to Basementman, and some escaped mental patient attacking Trump.
Heard reports that some NBC affiliates didn’t show Trump’s town hall at the live time or at all. Some showed it on MSNBC or CNBC.
And I couldn’t put up with Savannah debating with the POTUS.
People enjoy watching comedy.

That’s what they didn’t want you to see. Bad news for Biden that a lot of people watched him.
I think Trump was put opposite Biden to pull people away from Biden.
People watched Biden for entertainment value, not substance.
I remember how Mittens had the “deer in the headlights” look when Candy Crowley did a hatchet job on him and Obama practically hugged her. He just stood there and didn't fight back. The election was over then and there!
The same as the crowds that show up on Ground hog day. Wanting to see if Biden see’s his shadow on the rare day he comes out of his basement.

Overall, my honest assessment is that dueling townhalls benefited Biden more than DjT. There are probably very few undecideds, so damage is minimal, imho.
DjT was forced to play the hard guy to Guthrie’s despicable performance, whereas Georgey S let Biden off the hook, time and again. Not that Biden looked brilliant, but he didn’t crash and burn,....at least from what I could see.
I don’t know about the rest of the country, but Trump LIVE townhall was blacked out on DISH and DIRECT TV here in Colorado.
Same reason people gawk at train/car wrecks.
