Thursday evening, Twitter announced that it would no longer block hacked content from the platform, but instead label tweets to provide context after the platform was criticized over removing links to a recent story about Hunter Biden by the New York Post.

Time to shut down this seditious enterprise.
Trying to minimize the hit the stock will take the day the section 230 protection is removed.
it wasn’t hacked, it was irresponsibly abandoned.
or maybe hunter dropped the machines off in a crack fueled stupor, and simply forgot about them.
The material wasn’t hacked. That was clear from the original NY Post story.
@jack Dorsey is dangerous.
Abandoned content.
It was not hacked. It was abandoned, and under the law, the store owner became the new owner.
You can make a choice; be an asset or an asshole. @jack Dorsey has chosen the latter.
“hacked” means it was authentic.
Not good enough, Jackwagon. Let’s see you try color-coded labels on ALL political tweets, such as the Atlantic B.S.
I wonder if the guy has some standing to sue over these hacking smears? He was the rightful owner. Humper surrendered the computer per the repair contract he signed. The repair guy should get into contact with the Covington Kids lawyer.
“Trying to minimize the hit the stock will take the day the section 230 protection is removed.”
Once 230 is repealed, it’s a 3-5 year fall from great heights, to solid concrete.
Twitter and Facebook will not survive it.
Nah. No 230 removal. Anti trust. Break the bastards up for their actionable abuse of their monopoly power. Google first, though
Agreed. And criminally prosecute for election interference AND anti-trust violations.
Time to buy Parler?
Too late. They finally crossed the line that should never be crossed. The censorship of Republicans has become so blatant it cannot be ignored any longer. The FCC is taking action. The Republican Senate awakened from their eternal slumber. The Twitter response is an indication they realized they crossed the line and they are in deep kimchi.
The laptop wasnt hacked, it was abandoned. They start every comment with a lie.
The main stream media is pushing the narrative that the Russians hacked into Hunter’s email and then sent an agent to go to a computer repair store with a computer filled with the emails. However I don’t think Hunter keeps photos, emails, and videos in one server.
Revoke ALL their H1B/OPT/H4 labor & send them home. Dont allow them any guest workers in the future.
1. How does Twitter know something was "hacked" when they block content and issue a public statement claiming that it was obtained illegally?
2. What legal exposure does Twitter face if they publicly claim something was "hacked" and a law enforcement agency responds in kind by showing up at Twitter headquarters with a subpoena for all of the company's computer records as part of a criminal investigation?
Here's the interesting part about this sudden change in the company's approach:
I don't think this had anything to do with the blowback over their blatant censorship, or the threats to the company's legal protections under Section 230. I think it had everything to do with today's developments in the Steve Scully (C-SPAN) saga ... where he was suspended after initially claiming that his Twitter account was hacked.
