Experts dismiss "garbage fire" Hunter Biden exposé in NY Post: "Seems like a complete fabrication"

The Rupert Murdoch-owned New York Post published a series of stories on Tuesday surrounding alleged emails between Hunter Biden and officials connected with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which the outlet obtained from a source who met multiple times over the last year with an individual whom the U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned as an active agent of Russia.

The Post, which published the unverified emails on Wednesday, reported that the information came from Rudy Giuliani. The former LifeLock spokesperson attempted to distance himself from Andrii Derkach last month after the Treasury Department accused the Ukrainian lawmaker of being a Russian agent and running a "covert influence campaign" directed at the 2020 U.S. presidential election since late 2019.

Giuliani met with Derkach in late 2019. He interviewed the Ukrainian parliamentarian, in his role as President Donald Trump's personal attorney, on a trip aimed at digging up dirt on Joe Biden. The former vice president was then viewed as the Democratic frontrunner for the presidential nomination; he is now the party's official nominee.

On that trip, Derkach and Giuliani discussed the much-debunked allegations about Biden in a segment which later aired on One America News Network (OAN). Giuliani also broadcast an interview with Derkach on his personal podcast a few months later.

Butting in on his thread.

Just suppose the repair guy read a couple of docs and got interested in what else might be on the machine.

So the computer tech decides it is worth more than $100 to fix the computer. The main thing wrong with my plot is that he should be dead and is very lucky not to be.

Because as pointed out above, everyone involved is corrupt. And the FBI management is at the top of the list #2 behind Joe.

So we have Joe, who took the money, the FBI who Joe thought was burying the info on the computer, Johnson who kept it quiet until the computer tech went public....and probably a few more big swamp snakes.

It would have been so easy for Little Joe to overdose...like Marilyn Monroe..

Like the guy says....a real popcorn scandal.

This is how Trump is going to deal with election fraud. If he really has the goods on Biden this is the perfect time to release them. It is possible that he can push Biden off the ticket. If so, all the absentee, early voting, vote by mail ballots already cast must be counted by Biden and the people that cast those ballots do not get a do over.

Technically, we're not voting for the candidate -- we're voting for a slate of Electors who will vote for the candidate when the Electoral College meets. The candidate's name is there only as a proxy for the Electors.

This means that Biden can drop out and be replaced by someone else, and any ballots cast in his name can still be counted for the slate of Democrat Electors. Those Electors will then vote for whomever they want within state Electoral College pledge requirements.

At least in the primaries, when Pete Buwhatshisname and Pocahontes dropped out after some early voting people were not allowed to revoted if they’d voted early.

The electors are for a ticket. If the ticket changes then the votes are different. If it ceases to be a Biden/Harris and becomes, Harris/Whoever I would think they need a different set of electors.

So just to get today straight, the @nypost reported a leaked email in which a Ukrainian businessman thanked Hunter Biden for brokering a meeting with Joe. Joe’s campaign denied that any meeting was on the schedule, then admitted that Joe *might* have interacted with him.

When you think about it, this is essentially the same set of circumstances that caused Jeff Sessions to recuse himself over the Russia investigation. Sessions said he met with Russian Ambassador Kislyak twice, and then it turned out he had an informal third meeting at the Mayflower Hotel, where many other people were there to hear candidate Donald Trump give his campaign foreign policy speech.

In Sessions' case, it may have been a chance meeting at a campaign event. In Biden's case, it was a planned meeting that was kept off of the official record.

I don't think so.

It's true that the candidates vet the Elector list, but in modern elections the Electors are mainly party insiders who are often precinct captains or state party delegates.

Even if the candidates are replaced, the Electors will be the same party insiders, as there really aren't any others that the parties would assemble.

In Madison's and Hamilton's day (as laid out in Federalist #68), it may have been close confidants of the candidates or business and community leaders in the state who were chosen as Electors to make wise choices, but today it's tightly controlled by the state parties. They just can't be current office-holders.

That works if he drops out AFTER the election. If he drops out before the election, there is no way people are going to go vote for him and Trump wins an EC landslide. It’s too late. Joe cannot drop out, and the media will make sure the the story is treated just like the title of this thread suggests. They will call it a fabrication, fake, a Russian disinformation operation, desperation, debunked, etc.

I agree with you that it will turn off Democrats from voting, and so is not likely to happen.

But if he were to be replaced, prior votes will still count even if future voters object to voting for his replacement.

We haven’t gotten to the electors yet.
The electors only come into play after the general election.
In the election, if the democrats were to replace Biden with Candidate “X” the ballots would have to change and the results would look something like:

Votes for Trump/Pence
Votes for “X”/Harris
Votes for Biden Harris
Votes for other third parties

I am not sure you could legally combine the X/Harris and Biden/Harris votes any more than the Libertarians could throw their electors (Assuming they received any) to another candidate. At least not in the first round of voting by the electors. If the electors for Biden/Harris voted for X/Harris they’d fall under the category of faithless electors and be disqualified.

Because the people that voted for Biden don’t get a do-over to vote for someone else, their votes must be counted for Biden as cast, otherwise they are disenfranchised. To declare by fiat, that those votes will be transferred to “X” undermines the entire system.

Ballots are set. There’s no way you could get new approved ballots in place before the election. And for the reason you stated, it would be a very bad idea for the dems. If Biden got 30% of the vote, and candidate X, or lets say, Michelle Obama got 30%, while Trump got 40%, Trump would win with a plurality of the vote. Ballots are cast for a candidate, not a party.

Also, even if dems tried to pull off a swap or some kind of trick, state legislatures could intervene and prevent the electors from voting for a different candidate than the one who received the most votes. There was a SCOTUS case earlier this year settling this matter. ALL of the states Trump won in 2016 have R legislatures.

The dems are stuck with Joe. Now, if he wins and becomes incapacitated between Nov 3 and Jan 20, that’s a whole different ballgame.

In any event, The New York Post just tossed a huge, greasy monkey wrench into the election.

Here is the relevant Texas state election law:

SUBCHAPTER C. WITHDRAWAL, DEATH, AND INELIGIBILITY OF PRESIDENTIAL AND VICE-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES

Sec. 192.061. WITHDRAWAL, DEATH, OR INELIGIBILITY GENERALLY. With respect to withdrawal, death, or ineligibility of a presidential or vice-presidential candidate in a general election, this subchapter supersedes Subchapter A, Chapter 145, to the extent of any conflict.

Sec. 192.062. PRESIDENTIAL OR VICE-PRESIDENTIAL PARTY NOMINEE. (a) The secretary of state shall certify in writing for placement on the ballot the name of a political party's replacement nominee for president or vice-president of the United States if:

(1) the original nominee withdraws, dies, or is declared ineligible on or before the 74th day before presidential election day; and

(2) the party's state chair delivers certification of the replacement nominee's name, signed by the state chair, to the secretary of state not later than 5 p.m. of the 71st day before presidential election day.

(b) If the state chair's certification of a replacement nominee is delivered by mail, it is considered to be delivered at the time of its receipt by the secretary of state.

(c) The name of a nominee who has withdrawn, died, or been declared ineligible shall be omitted from the ballot and the name of the replacement nominee placed on the ballot if a replacement nominee is certified for placement on the ballot as provided by this section. Otherwise, the withdrawn, deceased, or ineligible nominee's name shall be placed on the ballot.

(d) A vote for a withdrawn, deceased, or ineligible nominee whose name appears on the ballot shall be counted as a vote for the nominating political party's presidential elector candidates.

I'm sure the other states have similar language in their state election law.

Photos should have source data on them eg date taken .

Possibly where if on a Mac.

Makes it one step harder to say fake

MSM Clinton special “ I may have interacted “. Allows for we discussed where do we get the best pizza.

Also unprovable “ Hit it pal before I take you out back for daring to ask me for anything “. Followed by chipmunk grin and patented annoying face and laugh.
