Democrat Presidential Nominee Joe Biden might be unwilling to offer his view on “packing the courts” in 2020, but he had no problem flapping his gums about it in 1983, calling it a “bonehead idea.”
Biden was just a U.S. Senator from Delaware when he made the comments during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in July 1983 regarding nominations to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

I’m not sure either Biden or Harris will pack the court.
The spectacle of adding 2, 4, or 6 members of the supreme court all at once is the kind of political move that’s front page news. It’s bound to backfire against the Democrats in 2022 & 2024.
But, they want their base of nutcases to believe they will pack the court. So, they won’t deny it.
Honestly, the best case scenario of Biden/Harris (should they win) is for the GOP to retain control of the Senate. Which will give them an out for not packing the court.
One of the problems with Biden having been on some Office or another for so long, is that he has literally been on both sides of every issue at one point in time or another...
Some turds just won’t flush.
He’s fully qualified to opine on boneheadedness.
