Democrats were outraged Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett used the term “sexual preference” on Tuesday, a phrase their own presidential nominee uttered in May.
“Not once, but twice, you used the term ‘sexual preference’ to describe those in the LGBTQ community,” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) said of a comment Barrett made earlier in the day.
“And let me make clear: ‘sexual preference’ is an offensive and outdated term,” Hirono scolded. “It is used by anti-LGBTQ activists to suggest that sexual orientation is a choice.”

My answer instantly would have been:
Joe Biden said that skin color is a preference.
If you aren’t voting for Biden, can you still be gay?
How long would that dominate the news cycle?
Might even sink my nomination.

It was the most nerve wrackingly voiced Herono that made the accusation.
I've been listening to almost every minute of this thing so I can legitimately say whatever I want.
The demon rats have learned that they can't attack a Republican like they want, so they lay a barrage of soft spoken, sing song voiced accusations and God BLESS soon to be Supreme Court Justice Amy Barret as she stoically sits properly and straight up ... and politely thanks them for their half hour of evil report.

Sexual orientation is not a choice or preference? Is not this the same crowd that discourages identifying your child as a boy or a girl and let the child decide?
What does that have to do with being a SCJ?
But...wait...wait...I thought you could be any sexual orientation you WANT to be? If you are a woman and want to be a man, you can. Then if that same woman who is now a man decides to have an affinity for horses...that is fine?
Thing is, "sexual orientation" is really a sexual proclivity.
They so badly want to make a sexual proclivity a genetic trait that they nearly salivate over the prospect, but...they cannot make that happen.
So they simply deem it so. And to them, that ends the discussion.
I am sick of it, and have been for decades. They are so fixated on this that it disgusts and nauseates me. I find the people who pursue this line of Leftist thought repellent.
They want you to believe that "Science is Real", but deny with both hands in the air (and venemous, yet somehow pious language) that having an XX genetic makeup make a Female, and XY makes a male.
These people are mentally ill.
Any thinking person knows that homosexuality is a choice much like adultery is a choice. Hirono knows this as well as anybody! She was trying to make points with the half of society that is below average intelligence.
More “politics of language” going on. If you control the language, you control the debate. Make them prove scientifically that a person is “born that way.”
And with what zinger did Barrett then respond to Hirono's stupid accusation?

I can end all this controversy by simply calling them queers.
And you would be right. Queer folk used to call themselves by that description until they decided that wasn’t specific enough. Queer homosexual men are not the same as lesbian women, and neither are transgenders.
