I heard that COVID-19 can cause sterility in men so they need to wrap their testicles in a Fauxi mask and stay away from their wives and girlfriends.

Its a ridiculous headline, isn’t it?

My grandmother, my dad, his sisters all eventually lost hearing in their left ears after a cold or flu, usually in their late 50s or 60s. I feel my own left ear become blocked when I have a bad cold, so it may be coming to me.

Could he have had an ordinary ear infection along with the virus? Ear infections can certainly damage hearing, especially if the victim wasn’t very diligent about hygiene and let earwax accumulate over a long period.

50 years as one of the most prescribed drugs in the world and dozens of studies verifying effectivness of HCQ: anecdotal and not to be considered.

One guy has a hearing problem: alert the media and extend the lockdowns indefinitely!

"Sudden hearing loss" is a recognized thing. Sudden is right; you can go to bed with normal hearing and wake up deaf. It's probably viral. It usually occurs in just one ear. There's not much that can be done to treat it, viruses being viruses; when I went stone deaf in my left ear, the docs gave me steroids to boost my body's general recuperative powers but then, as with other viral infections, you have to rely on the body to fight it off itself. In most cases, including mine, people recover most or all of their hearing. This can take weeks or even months. Sometimes there is permanent damage ranging up to permanent loss of hearing.

The docs are handicapped in studying it because it's an infection of the inner ear, which is not an area that is open to easy observation. I had never heard of it until I got it, whereupon I was swiftly informed that it's much more common than most people imagine.

If your son has a good memory and situational awareness, it will only work once.

It seems obvious ow that the treatment should be (preventative) HCQ, HCQ on initial contact (BEFORE hospitalization required), and if it progress (which looks unlikely) then Remdesivir - It sounds to me that ventilators actually exacerbate the problem by forcing air into lungs

Too bad we have a ton of new ventilators that are not needed now...

During the height of this, when I would read a headline like this, I would search "H1N1 + whatever the symptom or outcome was. 90% of the time I felt better after doing that.

10%, not so much.

Mt FRiend, This lock down will never end. There will be crisis after the other. The face diaper wearing will never go away. The snowflakes of today cannot function without being told what to do, how to do it and when to do it on a minute by minute basis. It will get worse, but it will not get better. In the beginning, I believe, the lock down was to last for 15 days. However, they did not specify which 15 days. As even Stevie Wonder can see now, judging by what is happening in the Senate Judiciary Committee, evil is in full control. If we are to survive, if we are to continue living, there is no way we are going to get out of this without a fight to the death with the forces of evil that are in control. Even a fool can see this, should they desire. I feel sorry by that poor woman that is being by those hyenas and jackals. She is a better man than I Gunga Din.

One guy loses his hearing in one ear, and they think it is good to warn everyone?

The smart people used to be in charge.
Then they started letting the idiots run things.
Now the competent are explicitly forbidden to help.

We need a culling — 90% starting with the dumbest.

For more than 60 years, it is documented that after viral illnesses, sudden onset of new unilateral hearing loss has been noted.

I had double vision for about 2 weeks. No known cause, the eye specialist said it was kinda like a stroke only muscle-bloodflow, not brain-bloodflow. Returned to normal.

Is remdesivir ototoxic?

My concerns with hydroxichloroquine, given its heritage, It may be ototoxic.

My 30 year old SIL got his 10% disability as a matter of the process at Fort Sill a few years ago. He said almost everyone “qualified” because of the damage done during Artillery Training.

Based on what my daughter says, his hearing is selective at times now. LOL.
