We couldn’t see what happened off camera but one must assume he was defending himself. In Colorado, the use of pepper spray is considered a legal and non- lethal form of self defense.
I understand what you’re saying about escalation however.
It looks to me like the shooter invaded the victim’s space as his hand is extended, perhaps reaching for the bear spray. The victim reacted to the shooter’s approaching him, and getting too close. I would have smacked him too. It’s not an action that would call for the use of deadly physical force. I don’t see that the shooter is wearing any kind of identification that shows he is part of the media security. He has no visible ID.
Don’t know about the shooter, but the producer (in blue) definitely is wearing a vest.
Only because a leftist thought that deadly physical force was necessary to prove his manhood.
I will not give the Demorats and their media what they dream about.....which is civil strive and disorder between these groups....in fact any groups of protesters if or not they’re for or against whatever. There are trigger happy people in every protests when they are armed....and that’s what todays protests are.
I don’t really care one iotta which group either of these guys was in or their history. The facts are they were both aware that two groups of diametrically opposed and armed people were there and violence would surely surface at any time.

Doloff had his first advisement hearing Sunday morning. The judge declared the arrest affidavit will be sealed, and the defendant will be held on first degree murder charges without bond.
Someone should ask Michelle Obama if this was one of those peaceful protests she talked about.
I know perfectly well what it is to deal with violence outside my doorstep....as well as how to deal with it and I do....and it’s not by pulling out a can of pepperspray to threaten someone with.
So the TV producer was right alongside the shooter, in the bright blue shirt? If I were the investigator I’d be checking if he’s part of an assassination team.
The victim reminds me of a guy that was harassed in Fort Collins at another back-the-blue rally about a month ago. I think this is well coordinated AntiFa “pay-back”, intended to intimidate patriots from showing themselves or expressing their opinions in public. They want to own the streets come November 4, and guys like him are a threat.

Not at all surprised Doloff held without bond on first degree murder. Haven’t heard much from the Detective Agency nor the TV station he was assigned to as security apart from confirming he was indeed their guy.
Unfortunately those red spots on his face give a certain impression that might not be adult acne. Time will tell.

It’s your choice to stay home, and hide from any potential threat you perceive exists. You could be shot by a maniac going to the gas station, or killed in a car crash by a drunk driver. But you aren’t in the position of demeaning those who do attend rallies. Your values are not their values, and they shouldn’t be judged by you or anyone else for attending Patriotic rallies. You sit smugly in your home, and berate every Patriot who attends a rally, and then berate them even more when anarchists show up to disrupt those peaceful rallies. People don’t care what you think, least of all the people who attend the rallies, and the family of Lee Keltner. If folks followed your guidelines for non-attendance at rallies, there would be no rallies held at all...not even President Trump’s, since leftist assholes gain entrance to those too.

Would someone please send the background info about the killer to the Denver PD? They cant seem to find an antifa connection.
Expect the Denver DA to reduce the charge from first degree murder to manslaughter, and then to creating a nuisance.
Willingly attending a powder keg protest/rally with diametrically opposed armed groups itching to fight is not something I would consider attending.
