Every debate Trump has participated in has been run and moderated by NeverTrumpers. He’s been battling headwinds from the press, donkeys, and rhinos since June 2015. If Trump jumps into the shark pool, it’s to take a break from battling the lions, tigers, and bears.

It's unclear who is calling who crazy: Trump calling Beto crazy with Beto's hand movements, or her calling Trump crazy with his hand movements while talking about Beto.
And those debates against Hilary Clinton did him no good.
What won 2016 for Trump were his campaign rallies and hard work, even as Hilary Clinton failed to even campaign in Wisconsin and only campaigned in Michigan at the very last minute.
Just campaign hard and forget the debates. Americans have heard from Trump literally every day for 3/4 straight months at the coronavirus pressers and otter pressers where the media hammer him constantly. He don't need another “debate” for yet another media hack to attack him while pretending to be a moderator.

I must agree. Trump thinks it doesn’t matter he can handle it. If he gets tough with a woman moderator days before it could cost him the election. Do not do this.
She doesn’t want to see push back after a biased debate moderation.

If Trump goes ahead with this debate as currently structured, he should have debate prep and be cautioned against exactly what problems could happen if he goes after the biased female bi-racial moderator. He can get away with bashing Chris Wallace but the press would love to have the image of him going at her. Harris set that stage when Pence fairly corrected her on some point and she said "I won't be lectured to by the Vice-President."
Most of the grief that Trump has gone through in his first term could have been avoided by Trump himself.
Like doing an interview with the Trump hating Carl Bernstein , who then turned round and used fake excerpts from that interview to spring a nasty October surprise on Trump.
There really is no need to just give his enemies weapons to use against him. Why make life harder for yourself than need be?
What you do is crush your enemies. You don't give them secret Oval Office interviews like he did with Bernstein.
On the other, it could be Trump’s plan is to illuminate to people just how biased the media is. I think these four years have woken a lot of people up to that fact.
I agree with you. Trump enjoys the back-and-forth and trying to best people on the left. He does not have the power of the media with him to show when he actually does he’s t them. The media only plays snippets that they frame in a way that make Trump look bad. I wish that Trump would stop giving them these opportunities.
Harris was systematically dismantled by Pence. It wasn't even close. And Harris came across as a snarky, smirking skank with her eye rolling, facial contortions and childish pouting. Even Uriah Heep (Charles Dickens) would have found it hard to one up Harris in the facial contortions department. Harris is clearly not ready for prime time.
Actually the supposed moderators at these debates do act like the defense attorney for the Democrats, asking them questions whose answers they would like publicized. Then the moderator acts like the prosecutor to the Republican asking them attack questions framed in such a way as to harm them. This is how almost every single interview on TV show goes as well as the panel shows.
