Vanity Fair Portrays NY Congressman As Moderate But Skips Impeachment Vote

Quick! If you have heard of Congressman Max Rose (D), what is the most significant vote he has cast during his first and only term in office? If you know the answer, I am sure most of you answered that it was his vote to impeach President Donald Trump despite his earlier promise he would not do so.

Therefore you would figure that if he gives an extensive interview to a publication such as Vanity Fair, that he would be asked about that impeachment vote which is now political poison for him since his congressional district comprising Staten Island and part of Brooklyn is the most conservative district in New York City. Added to that he is currently in a very tough congressional race with Republican opponent Nicole Malliotakis.

I also found out that Rose attended a Defund the Police rally a few months ago when that was the in-thing for liberals to do.

You think this guy has any chance of winning re-election? Trump won the district by 9.8% in 2016.

Trump won BIG on Staten Island.

I fear the brooklyn part of the district.

If the Italians from the south shore of Staten Island turn out huge, max rose (whom I hate) is gone.

To be perfectly blunt, the rep rose kicked out didnt have a Mediterranean sounding last name either.

Malliotokis does.

I’m just saying it as it is.

Hope I didn’t offend anyone :)

Trump won by 9.8% in Rose’s district, not just SI. My guess is his SI margin was bigger than 9.8%.

You think a Mediterranean name without a vowel on the end has the same kind of pull? Malliotokisi woulda been perfetto.

Sounds too Polish :)

And yeah, believe it or not, the people I know, and actually me (i try not to lie) think she’s one of us.

After MAX ROSE..it didn’t take much :)

He’s got the fewest letter in a last name than any politician on staten island in a century :)

I’m sure there are exceptions :)

Your tagline is funny and reminds me of being a kid in the 70s.

We sat sideways in the Very Back of the station wagon basically waiting to die from the slightest tailgater hit :)

Sheesh, little room in that district then for those with names from Hibernia or ending in -ski? Has that demographic all taken their pensions and moved to Florida?

Rose will be beaten soundly. I have stood on the busiest corner on the South Shore of Staten Island and held up a Trump/ Malliotakis (Rose’s GOP challenger) sign for three 90 minute periods during rush hour. I showed my sign to 7,000 drivers The response was easily 15 to 1 positive. Subgroups: women 18 to 35 (just by guess - I spoke to no one) about 18 to 1 positive.
Of NYC bus drivers, all in Democrat controlled unions, who responded 24 of 26 were positive.
Yes this is on the strongly Republican side of the island, but this absolutely confirms the insanely large 34 Point enthusiasm advantage Trump voters have over Biden voters.
