Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) sounded a pessimistic note on Friday morning amid President Trump’s renewed calls for comprehensive stimulus legislation to address increasing financial pain caused by coronavirus pandemic the ahead of the November 3 election.
“We do need another rescue package,” McConnell said at an event in Kentucky, “but the proximity election and the differences of opinion about what is needed at this particular juncture are pretty vast.”

For a couple of years, Trump could do deals with a Democrat Senate. He can’t deal with the brand of Republicans who currently run the Senate. Once he’s got Barrett approved he should cut Mitch loose. Then Trump should start building a MAGA Republican caucus by primarying the RINOs who run the GOP caucus now.

Actually they are saving the Republic from Trump caving to a Pelosi ransom demand of another $2.4 trillion loaded with provisions about green climate deal and fraud voting.
McConnell is running against Amy McGrath who self-proclaims to the most far-left person in Kentucky. I sometimes have problems with McConnell, but compared to Amy McGrath it's a no-brainer.
