Today? It should be over 80, at least.
My mom is 87 and 4 times a week she picks up 3 women over 90 and takes them to the senior center where they play cards and eat Italian food.
Well at least before the dictator wannabees shut everything down.
My uncle Joe is 92 and plays tennis and golf twice a week each and works at a soup kitchen.
When I was 10 and my grandmother was 80, she was OLD.
Never left the house, just cooked and sat in front of the TV..and prayed :)
You were supposed to act old after 70 back then.
And perhaps things that kept one incapacitated back then are treated quite well now.
Times definitely change.
Whew !!
I was panicked ...... only 6 months left until becoming “elderly!”
So I have another 10 years, yay!
I remember how grandma’s used to wear what we called grandma shoes. They reached a certain age and started to dress the part.
Times have changed in a positive way when it comes to aging.
