WSB radio just announced Trump will not participate in the virtual debate next week. That's all I have so far.

There’s nothing to these debates except an opportunity for some smug arsehole media head to demonstrate how superior they feel to all us unwashed anyway.

Nobody who supports Trump is going to be convinced to vote Biden by anything that could be said in a debate format. Nobody who supports Biden is going to be convinced that Orange Man is not bad, likewise.

You’ll miss an opportunity to explain how, what people saw with their own two eyes isn’t what actually happened; but other than that, no big loss.

I could see Trump interviewed on policy and The Trump Doctrine.

Laying out his work so far and his plans for the next four years.

He has done remarkable work and has an incredible future planned.

getting us out of wars, planning for more manufacturing and protections, partnering with local countries and partner countries in production, helping people back on their feet, making US Safety a priority and safety of the people in each state and city. Make parents in charge of their children and the r education through vouchers, make children safe again in their homes through policing.

It would be an interview listened by the whole world.

Consider the media beating Newt Gingrich took when he shut down the government i.e. when he stopped negotiating?

Just 27 days to an election in which the average of polls tells us that we are losing. Do you really want to set yourself up for media bashing because you will not negotiate? Do you really want the media to scream that you are acting out of pique and arrogance? Why would you play into their narrative? It is not about whether Nancy Pelosi is reasonable or even sane, it is about winning the election.

Do you recall all the bluster on these threads about how when Biden comes out of his bunker and faces Trump in debate all will be made clear and exposed. His dementia will be plain for all to see.

Now the tune has changed. Now there seems to be no need for debates.

It is idle to argue that debates do not affect elections. If they do not why were they agreed to in the first place? So the question becomes has the forum been so altered as to justify running the risks of media criticism 27 days before election with people already voting by withdrawing? At a time 27 days before the election when Trump is behind in the polls, or at least conventionally believed to be so? What is the upside for Trump compared to the downside?

This was the October surprise, infecting President and his people at SC Rose garden and then hoping President got COVID and others so they could use that as an excuse to do virtual debate.

I’ve heard no change in media narrative from before or after...PDJT has information you do not have about winning...he plays by Sun Tzu, not what “Wind Direction Newt” follows. Not a valid comparison.
