Here’s what is indisputable: ratings for the NFL are down, in some cases to an ugly degree. Thursday Night Football (NFL Network) was down an astounding 70 percent from last year, but that comes with a huge caveat: last year’s game aired on NFL Network and Fox. Broadcast TV always jacks up ratings, and it’ll do the same thing when TNF returns to Fox later this season.
Still: only 5.41 million watched the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets play last Thursday.
Sunday Night Football (NBC) took a steep dive, falling 37 percent in viewership from last year. The matchup was substandard — a winless Philadelphia versus an injury-ravaged San Francisco — even if the game ended up being fairly decent. If there’s a worrying sign for the NFL, it’s Sunday night.
The CBS doubleheader also saw sharp declines due in large part to the shifting of Patriots-Chiefs to Monday night. A primo matchup vanished from the slate, and that sent the early game (primarily Chargers-Bucs) tumbling 32 percent to 9.95 million viewers, and the late game (Buffalo-Las Vegas) down 6 percent to 18.61 million viewers.

All classics ... when things were simple. Although there are some episodes of Adam-12 where they bring in drug culture as a problem - at least it was still a problem.

The nba and nfl should open the games playing the National Anthem backwards while they burn the Flag at midcourt/midfield ...that should pack the BLMers, antifa types, and demonrats into the stadiums and tv audience....low ratings and decreased revenues are miraculously cured...
NBA and NFL players themselves should be made to cleanup the destruction that the “peaceful” BLM and AntiFa protestors inflicted upon this country.
Dallas Cowboys are fast approaching the status of irrelevancy. It’s been 25 years since their last Super Bowl, and they’re stinking it up this year. There’s no doubt anymore that Jerry and Stephen Jones are terrible when it comes to evaluating players, that it was Jimmy Johnson who built the team that made the Jones Family multi-billionaires.

...and how bad is it? The Eagles who have won a single game and tied another is in first place.
I've yet to receive an answer, of course. The Cowboys slipping into irrelevancy is a much larger problem for the NFL than it is for the Jones family. The Cowboys' games on TV usually draw higher ratings, because there's an equal number of viewers who hate the Cowboys.
When that goes away, ratings will tank. It's rapidly becoming the KC Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes league.
