White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany says she’s having ‘no symptoms’ despite COVID-19 diagnosis

In her first interview since being quarantined for COVID-19, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that she was feeling well.

“I’m having no symptoms,” she said. “You know, I am very blessed to have a mild case or just an asymptomatic case. My heart goes out to all those who have been affected by this and all those who have lost their lives.”

McEnany is just one of many in a growing list of White House officials and Republicans who have recently tested positive for the coronavirus. Besides President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, the list includes former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, current Trump advisors Hope Hicks and Stephen Miller, RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, and former New Jersey governor Chris Christie.

“I am pleased to see that our commander-in-chief is doing well. Watching him on that balcony, just showing that we will overcome. America will overcome, just as he is overcoming this illness. I think was a really nice moment for our country to see.”

Exactly my thinking. They are going to go from 'oh my god Trump endangered the entire government with his recklessness' to 'nothing to see here' as soon as it's obvious that all these well known people are fine. It goes agains the 'you must fear the virus!' narrative.

I think the R’s are behind it. They probably knew that if they bothered to get tested, they would test positive.

I’ve assumed for months that if I got tested, I would test positive. But you give up rights and freedoms if you get tested. I’ll have none of it.

We do not know the specificity of the current test(Reverse transcriptase-PCR) in use for the diagnosis of COVID-19 infection.The specificity of a diagnostic test is established by applying it to the samples from healthy persons simultaneously with a gold standard test(eg.virus isolation on tissue culture). If the gold standard test gave negative rezult for all samples and Reversetranscriptase-PCR pick up 40% positive, means the 40% of the cases a false positive. The current R-PCR pick up a fragment of virus RNA that came from a live virus,or dead virus or from unknown source.

Some of us. Not me. I have ignored every one of these health scares after the first reports, and this one included. The difference with this one is that I couldn’t go to costco without their mask, and I work from home.

The cool part is that I save three hours a day and 800 after tax dollars a month working from home. So I’m good. :)

And the day they want us back in the office is the day I retire. :)
