House Democrats are launching an investigation into President Trump’s treatment of the Secret Service during his bout with the coronavirus.
Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, accused Trump of disregarding the safety of his protective detail when he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a short drive in his limousine to greet supporters who were outside the facility.
Thompson called Trump’s Sunday night trip a “joyride” that risked the health and safety of the agents who had to accompany him on the trip.
“So we can know more about how these events have affected the Secret Service and national security, I have requested a briefing from the agency on the current safeguards in place for their employees — including on the President’s protective detail — and how Secret Service agents can be kept safe from coronavirus-related threats, including apparently the President himself,” Thompson said in a statement.
Trump tweeted that the trip was deemed safe by medical staff at the hospital. An attending physician also accompanied Trump on the drive and wore a mask and other protective equipment.
Trump also wore a mask.
Trump announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that he will be discharged from the hospital and will return to the White House at 6:30 p.m.
Nailed a great point. Corona is a farce overall. The ONLY relent is that all of us can get complacent by human nature and the virus is NASTY!
By definition a Secret Service agent has agreed to step in front and TAKE A BULLET for POTUS.

Though I didn't hear the doctor quoted on ABC radio, I suspect it was Dr. James Phillips, a physician at Walter Reed (though not attending Trump) who said yesterday "Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die ...”

The introduced the segment by saying that they had talked to several doctors who “basically agreed” with the the doctor who included the word ‘stunt’ in his narrative.
I don’t have a problem with doctors saying something like “it might be unwise”, or “perhaps it would be better if he hadn’t”, but by adding the word ‘stunt’ he revealed his political leaning/prejudice.
Impeach, bitches.

Not enough people have pointed out that Trump’s “joyride” also served as a message to the nation and world at large, not just his supporters. The media and leftists are just upset that his “stunt” made it difficult for them to manufacture more lies about him being near death or ask “questions” about the stability of the government.
