Actually, if Gamma goes remnant low then it’s almost certain to be absorbed into Delta, but even a slight Fujiwhara influence beforehand will change Delta’s trajectory and possibly slow it down, not good.

Thanks for checking in. This Delta storm is worrisome with its rapid intensification. The northern Gulf Coast hasn’t had an opportunity to clean up and repair damage from the previous storms this season.

According to this Venutsky windflow view, Gamma is hogging the entire wind circulation of the Gulf of Mexico. If Delta is able to catch up and tap into that basin-wide circulation, Delta could become a real beast...

Try zooming out one click-- to look at the wind flow feeding both storms...

Intuitively, to me, that strong westward flow from the Atlantic across Florida and into the gulf might portend a more westerly landfall. Hard to visualize a storm heading eastward against that massive airflow...
