BETHESDA, Md. — President Donald Trump declared, “I get it,” in a message to the nation Sunday evening before briefly leaving the hospital to salute cheering supporters from his motorcade, a surprising move that raised new questions about the president’s understanding of the coronavirus that has killed more than 209,000 Americans.
“It’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID,” Trump said, standing in his hospital room in a video posted on social media. “I learned it by really going to school.” He added, “I get it, and I understand it.”
Before the video was posted, the infected president cruised by supporters in his bulletproof SUV, windows rolled up, driven by Secret Service agents in protective gear who were potentially exposed to the disease that has swept through the White House in recent days.
“This is insanity,” tweeted Dr. James P. Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Trump has been hospitalized since Friday evening. “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die,” the doctor wrote. “For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater.”

the presidential limo has it’s own oxygen/air supply and it’s own biological and chemical defense system.. I’m betting where the President sits is pretty much it’s own self contained area to be able to counter any adverse situations including the China plague

And instead of identifying him as a CNN-contributor, etc. in the article, they just say “an attending physician at WR.”
I’d rather have Phillips live to wallow in his own misery than to die of Woo virus.

Yes, he surely is. I would hope he’d be getting an earful about now. He really crossed some lines that shouldn’t be crossed.
Even if it were Biden who got covid- I would want him to recover- period. I hope all Americans would. Then we could kick his butt in November. But to witness what we’ve seen from the left since the president got sick is gut-wrenching.
The problem with that sort of hatred- it poisons the carrier. And this isn’t just spoiled brat kids- this comes from grown adults- like Dr.Phillips.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t make him walk to the hospital by himself, ringing a bell and wearing a sign around his neck that said OUTCAST! UNCLEAN!
I HATE people that can write things so well, that I wanted to say but couldn’t find the words for.

We’ll probably get a more detailed account from the good doctor on CNN or MSNBC within a few hours. I’m sure they’ve scheduled an interview.
The guy is an activist, pure and simple. Also, he is not someone who has access to Trump’s direct care. He is only speculating... and trying to conjecture the worst.

I don't think "bulletproof" windows roll up or down because the glass is so thick and heavy, but in any case there would be a partition between the front seat and the passenger compartment.
Trump's medical team and the Secret Service all agreed that this was completely safe for everyone involved.
