Yeah it’s for “safety”. The cynicism of this. I think he’s trying to give three rinos the cover they need to delay the vote. It might even work. We are about to find out just how committed Mitch is. He will have to use all the leverage he has to keep Pierre and the others in line.

The hearing taking place or not taking place has nothing to do with COVID19. The full Senate does not have to be present for one committee to meet. This is a nominee that has already been vetted and questioned in front of this same committee before.
