As for the Biden-Trump comparison, if you want to be morbid about it, it’s the odds of Biden living for eight years versus Trump living for four.
It is legit to think about the choice of Vice President, regardless of the odds of the President dying in office. Trump choose a person based on experience and qualifications. Biden choose a person based on race and gender.

My mom has Alzheimer’s. She’s been gradually deteriorating for 5 yrs, but functioned ok until last December when she started sun downing fairly bad. She still recognizes us now, but asks the same questions 5 seconds after answered. She can’t even remember how to tell her legs to stand/walk.
Watching Joe he appears to be where she was 2 years ago.
But realistically, he could well be technically alive on January 2025.
Unless he's elected president, in which case he'll have to be gotten out of the way...

My “hunch” has been borne out by the results. Bottom line: if the election were held today, 48% of respondents would vote for real Joe over Donald Trump. But if wax Joe were the candidate, that number jumps to 91%!
Obviously, it’s never good news when a waxen figure polls better than your candidate. But am I discouraged? No. In fact, I see a unique opportunity. The question is: are we willing to seize it?
