I get the impression that Lori Lightfoot is a real lightweight when it comes to dealing with the many severe problems in her city.

One wonders how the people of Chicago elected someone who is totally incompetent for the job of running that city.
It’s been a weird year. The left argues that the total violence in cities was much higher 20 years ago, and they are correct. And SOME violence is not going up, but the murders are, relative to the past few years.
And they seem to be arguing that the Trump administration did a great job of getting the nation to lower the crime rate, and now it is shooting up because leftists are mad about a dozen or so specific examples of what they call police brutality, and the default democrat reaction to something they don’t like is to go burn down black neighborhoods.
I am supposed to attend a trade show in $hitcago next year. I’m not going.
