I’m puzzled. Are you saying the President DOESN’T have the virus or that he was deliberately infected? Or perhaps that he didn’t actually test positive but whomever did the testing is lying about it?
People’s attention spans are so short, that by Election Day, this will be almost meaningless.
Both Trump and Melania feel fine and will “recover”.

I think it will end the lockdowns and mask requirements.
I think this only helps the president. But then, I don’t think the virus is that deadly. I think this is a handwringing public being inundated with traffic death statistics wringing their hands about the president getting into a car to travel.
i.e. it is nothing, and the outcome will end the panic.
