Donald Trump said Thursday he will overturn the 'ridiculous order' of removing the words 'brotherhood' and 'man' from the US Navy SEAL ethos.
In a tweet responding to the news, the president wrote: 'I will be overturning this ridiculous order immediately!'
The Navy has removed gendered words from its official SEAL ethos, changing them to 'citizen' and 'warrior'. Alterations have also been made in the Special Warfare Combatant Crewmen (SWCC) creed, American Military News reports.

We, as Citizens, expect our government agencies to be apolitical. Further, we expect them to not discriminate based upon race or gender. Changing an ethos to match that concept does nothing to diminish the Navy Seals. Therefore, I respectfully disagree with the POTUS on this one.
Remove every one of the Obama era appointed identity politics generals, etc., asap, kkthx.

Yeah the wording change was pretty minimal...

The SWCC creed now mentions an “elite group of maritime warriors” instead of the original “elite brotherhood of sailors,” Task and Purpose reports, while the ethos change includes a reference to “common man” tweaked to “common citizens.”
A line proclaiming “I am that man” was changed to “I am that warrior,” while the ethos’ final line referencing “brave men” has now been changed to “brave SEALs.”
If you allow women to serve as SEAL’s then a few tweaks in wording come with that decision.
"Brotherhood" and "man" in standard English are generic terms. Only overly politicized "inclusive" language sees them as exclusively male.
There has never been a female SEAL and may never be. Why change it just to please someone who isn’t even a SEAL?

As is your right as an American. You can disagree. But if you are in the SEAL program you don’t have that luxury.
No matter how you slice and dice it men are physically stronger than women. If I’m trapped in a fire I’ll take whoever comes to help but if I have a choice send that strong man who can tote me down over a woman who most likely will be guiding me down to safety

In the end, if they don’t lower standards (a big if), maybe 0.01% of SEALs would be women.
So you are arguing the creed needs to be changed to accommodate such a small minority.
This is just like leftists upending thousands of years of civilization almost norms to accommodate homos and trannies. Except if you destroy the warrior ethos, we are at even bigger risk.
