Over the past couple of years, much of the liberal media have tried to dismiss President Donald Trump's new border as not really "new" because there was already a barrier there, even though that barrier was shoddy, ineffective and sorely in need of redesign and replacement.
On Thursday afternoon. MSNBC host Katy Tur and correspondent Jacob Soboroff admitted the error of their ways as they fretted over the "consequences" of the new and improved border wall. Tur introduced the segment:
"weeks out from the election, NBC News found that so-called "replacement" isn't as insignificant as Democrats or some fact-checkers have claimed."
After bringing aboard Soboroff, she informed viewers: "So, Jacob, you know, we've said this on this show, 'It's not new wall -- it is replacement wall.' You went down there to take a look. It's kind of not -- it's kind of -- it's accurate, but it doesn't tell the full story, does it?"
Soboroff responded: "I've said the same thing as well, and it turns out that we were all incorrect. The reality is, while the Democrats and fact checkers might technically be right, it is not that simple...
LAIKEN JORDAHL, ANTI-WALL ACTIVIST: "This idea that it's just a replacement, at best, it's misguided. At worst, it's a complete flat-out lie. I think people don't want to give the administration a win on that, but the reality is, the wall's going up"...
"Whether it is new wall or replacement wall, dismissing any of it is a mistake. When you talk to people on the ground, they say that whether it's the environment, whether it's migration, whether it's wildlife, the impacts of this are going to be extremely significant, and the President -- as you heard there -- is doing exactly what he promised he was going to do."

I like that movie version...I know there are some who really dislike it, but I think it was generally pretty well done. Well cast...
It is a remarkable work. And scary, because the Left is chock-full of various elements of it. Kind of like “Atlas Shrugged”.

The sudden acceleration this year had a kind of stealth effect, where a lot got done, before many folks got around to noticing.
It is going to be that way with the effects of the wall as well.
When hundreds of the highest priority miles suddenly shut (after decades, or generations), at lot of things are going to have to adjust.
Local security, crime rates and property values will improve the first year, and developers and businesses will begin looking into the border areas for future investments. It happens every time border security gets a significant plus up, and this is the most powerful ever.
Overall illegal traffic is going to be significantly disrupted by this new barrier and technology, through next year. MSNBC might just be noticing the reality of how significant this barrier is, but next year the operational effects are going to become undeniably obvious as well, at the National level.
Cartel operations are going to take a huge hit, and they are going to have to go for each other’s throats for the remaining routes - or forge an agreement among themselves.
The really significant main conversion of our Southern Border, is rolling out this year and next - shockingly fast by historical standards. many will be surprised by the changes.

#15. I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. We are on a roll now. Construction of the Wall is proceeding. No one can doubt it now. Sure, we have suffered delays. Lawsuits. Protests. Persistent whining and crying. But we should be at 350 miles by Monday and approx. 450 by year end.
Ann pretend Trump never promise replacement. Only new wall where nothing exist before. That’s dumb. All the current places with some form of barriers that exist now are the high traffic areas. We want those replaced first before we build in low traffic areas. If she care about illegal crossing, we should be supporting this, not split hairs over new and replacement, wall or fence
The few ppl that was placed to investigate Hillary turned out to be Deep State actors and allowed her to walk
