Over the past couple of years, much of the liberal media have tried to dismiss President Donald Trump's new border as not really "new" because there was already a barrier there, even though that barrier was shoddy, ineffective and sorely in need of redesign and replacement.
On Thursday afternoon. MSNBC host Katy Tur and correspondent Jacob Soboroff admitted the error of their ways as they fretted over the "consequences" of the new and improved border wall. Tur introduced the segment:
"weeks out from the election, NBC News found that so-called "replacement" isn't as insignificant as Democrats or some fact-checkers have claimed."
After bringing aboard Soboroff, she informed viewers: "So, Jacob, you know, we've said this on this show, 'It's not new wall -- it is replacement wall.' You went down there to take a look. It's kind of not -- it's kind of -- it's accurate, but it doesn't tell the full story, does it?"
Soboroff responded: "I've said the same thing as well, and it turns out that we were all incorrect. The reality is, while the Democrats and fact checkers might technically be right, it is not that simple...

Uncritically, and without qualms, the Left will accept the new truth, and vigorously proclaim it.
"Replacement" vs. existing barrier (even without mentioning the new roads, lights, cameras, alarms and sensors) was finally shown to viewers within the Leftist media bubble:

According to the DNCmedia an old two strand barbed wire is the same as a thirty foot tall wall loaded with electronic sensors.

I guess it never was an actual promise by Trump. But it sure was a wild and wonderful dream of ours.
What happened is that the DOJ became it's own government because Trump makes terrible HR choices.
Obama's DOJ, by contrast, was his own personal mafia, and Holder was his consigliere.

Just remember, the MS in MSNBC was Bill Gate’s Microsoft. Although Microsoft claims that the company gave up control in 2012. Of course, the year before Microsoft sold their interest in MSNBC to Comcast, Gates bought a big chunk of Comcast stock. So he was just moving MSNBC from one pocket to another.

I can understand the initial skepticism, because it took a while to get things moving, but it should have been apparent even to many of the naysayers here, that the wall was indeed getting built.
I think President Trump has done a great job of getting the wall construction underway, against all odds, the entire judicial system and leftist machinery arrayed against him, but somehow...he has gotten chunks of it done.
I am impressed. I have always been perplexed by the antagonism on this website because the wall wasn’t built overnight.
